Valentines Nail Art

Hello there! I can't believe this is already the end of January, like we are almost done with a full month of 2018! That is crazy!!! Anywhoo this isn't an end of the month post so we will save that. ;) Today I am going to go ahead and kick of Valentines manis, because well its getting close!

Valentines Nail Art

For the first look that I will be sharing I've gone with "Conversational Hearts" I never really knew the name for the until a few years ago. I've never been like "oooo, those are so good" but I do like the Sweet Tart versions! :) All of that said they do make for fun manis! Which is what I have done today. I didn't want to do what everyone else has through out the years so I went with what might view as different colors to change it up. I used acrylic paint for them as well so I have a light pink, light lavender, and a fun minty green.

The accent glittery nail is Sparitual Charleston. Its a lovely silver glitter! Then I did a fun dotty gradation coming down from the cuticle for the other nails. This just kinda helped to bring the full look together. :)

The white base polish is Pretty Beautiful Unlimited White Out which has been my go to as of recently. :) Plus guess what?! I have made a full video on how to get this look! (Link later in the post!)

Overall I actually liked how these came out. The lettering was challenging. I did actually film it, well I had thought I had, turns out something messed up and it resulted in me not having that footage.

Above is the video y'all can check out! :) Its a pretty easy mani. I always struggled with doing hearts and making them even or even semi even but how I did them in the video really helps! So if you want to see that and see if it will help you go watch it and let me know what you thought or any other tricks you might have!

Hope you have enjoyed this post and I hope you like the video. Due to the nails being white based I had to try a different background so the nails didn't become one with the background. LOL! So let me know what you thought of the silver! Should I do that more often?

Happy Painting!

  2. I haven't seen SpaRitual in a LONG time! I know it's the sister brand for ORLY, but I feel like ORLY decided to focus on Breathable and the pro world and left SpaRitual behind. There's only one salon in a 60 mile radius that I know of that uses it but this post has be jonsing for some SR!

    1. Me either! When I pulled this out I was thinking/wondering what was up with that. I think this is one I picked up at TJ Maxx years ago, and I really loved it. I didn't know they were connected with Orly! Kind of interesting, I'll have to say I prefer this polish over my Orly ones. Its has such a great formula!

  4. I hope I have time to get out my dotting tools and put hearts on my current manicure. It won't be as cute as yours but it would make me happy.

  5. Adorable mani! And I like that you used Spa Ritual, they have some great colors/finishes but don't get enough attention.
