Two Nail Art Tutorials for Valentines Day Nails

Love Letter Nail Art

Hello and happy Friday! Honestly I can't believe it is Friday. I feel like it came really fast. Anywhoooo today I have a fun post planned! Todays post is going to have 2 different types of tutorials. I am actually guessing posting over on Heroine's blog today so I will have a full on pictorial over there, then on here I have a shortened version of it as well as a video for another mani! Above is a sneak peek at the mani in the pictorial. However first off we are going to start with the mani in todays Youtube Video so lets go!

Valentines Day Nail Art

Here is a look at the mani I am showing ya'll how to create in todays video, and guess what? Its really easy. The video is only like 3 minutes too, I talk you through it all and I think you all can do it! Plus I only used one polish so its not like you have to have multiple. All you need is a white and the rest can be done in regular acrylic paint, but I mean if you have polish and like working with it for art of course you can us that as well! Anywhoo its still a really easy look.

I start off by applying 2 coats of Zoya Snow White. After that is dry I then paint on parts of 3 hearts. One of those being full sized and the other 2 being ones that go off the edges. After that I just watered down some light pink paint and painted on V's that became more heart like since the paint was all watery! One of my fave bits about watercolor nail art!

Above y'all can see all of that done live! Although serious question, is that considered live? I mean you are seeing it being done in a live way but its not like watch a "live" awards show or something.... Hummmm..... I'm gonna need to think about this! LOL! What do you think? Is it really live or should we just say, on film? But "film" isn't a thing so much any more..... Hummm, maybe "HD" but thats just the quality. I mean I guess video would work but it sounds kind weird too so I don't know!

Love Letter Nail Art

So a while back Heroine asked if I would like to create a guest post for them. It started off with an Interview here, and today I am back for a pictorial. I am not sure what time its going up but when it is it will be here.  It was all free handed and a lot of fun. I used Heroine NYC Sugar Spun! I am going to include a quick run through below but for the full up close pics step by step you will have to check out their blog! :)

Love Letter Nail Art

1. Start off by applying your favorite base coat and one coat of Sugar Spun.

2. Use you paint brush and white acrylic paint to paint on some randomly placed rectangles.

3. Now its time to paint on your little red hearts while your white dries. For this you can use many methods. One of my fave ways is to start with two little dots touching each other side by side. For this I use my acrylic paint and a little dotting tool. After I have done that I like to connect them by painting a V shape underneath!

4. Now grab you black acrylic paint and outline your white rectangles. At this point if your black lines to get a bit too think keep in mind that you can go back in white white and clean up the inside after it is dry.

5. Now use the same brush and black polish to make your "envelop lines" I start in the middle and go up to make a V. After that I then place lines away from the center going down to the bottom of the envelope. Just do this on a few of you envelopes, you will want some still wet for the next step.

6. Now on your empty "envelope" shapes you are going to pretend its the letter on the inside by just painting on some thin wavy lines in black as if there was a message written on it.

7. Next its time to add some XO's just by using a thin brush and some acrylic paint. Just place it one "set" per nail because you will still want some space for our roses.

8. For this step you can use either your dotting tool and or a brush. You just want a deformed circle which is what we will be turning into our rose. So if its an imperfect circle its perfect!

9. Lastly detail wise you just need to add a lil pink into your flower. Kind of just swirl around the pink to give it a petal look. Then add your green leaves!

10. Lastly add your choice of top coat!
