Digital Dozen | Redoes Art Day 3

 Print VIA

Hello, and good morning! Hope everyone is staying warm. I know it seems near to impossible here on the East Coast! Since that is the case, probably won't be going hiking this week. 😕 I didn't think I would be bummed about that but I am actually a bit. Anywhooo, my nails are at least inspired by warmer days. Lets check them out!

The cycle starts again like I was afraid off. I am back with another Lilly Pulitzer inspired mani! You can see the inspiration here. I just love so many of the Lilly pieces print wise. They are all so happy and tropical so you know thats something I would lean towards. :)

For this look I started with a white Polish base. Today I used Serendipity Nail Polish #goaldigger. Then all of the art was done in acrylic paints. The "background" colors were watered down and put on willy nilly. Then the palm tree outlines were done in white. After that white was dry I ten watered down the palm tree colors like in the painting and applied it within the white. I wanted the white as a base to make the colors show more plus, give a white rim every now and then like in the painting. It was really fun and simple to so actually.

Overall I am pretty happy with this look! It was a lot of fun, and reminds me of warm weather. I find it so annoying that last week was so perfect, sunny, warm, and great for a beach day. Now this week is the so called Spring Break. 😂 Well that is is for today! Hope you all have enjoyed this post. I loved creating these nails!

Happy Painting!

  4. Yah, I can't believe the weather that some areas are getting!? It has been in the low 90's here already in Arizona! I'm not ready for that. I'm loving your tropical (or desert since we have palms here too) mani! :)

    1. Right? Its nuts! We were going hiking today and we were going to leave early but it was in the 30s and this is Florida! So crazy! Wow! 90s!! We haven't see that here yet this year, 80s last week. Yay for Palm Trees! I have a friend who lives in AZ but haven't heard much about its weather tho! What are your typical season?
