25 Sweetpeas

Hello, so this is my last "un themed" mani for a while! Tomorrow I start the #31DC2015 challenge which I am actually really excited about! Hopefully I will make it through and try some new things! Today for you all I have a bit of a skittles mani. Which basically just means every nail is different! So for those of you who cringe at nails that aren't in a pattern , I am very sorry! These for sure don't match! ;)

PaulinasPassion on Instagram always has the best skittle manis so the concept of these nails were for sure inspired by her! :) Now let's take a look!

Just a fun bright mani! :) A very girly feel which I really like! They didn't turn out like I had wanted but looking at them and not comparing to what I had in mind they aren't terrible. I had been filming a tutorial for these too but sadly one of the major clips didn't film when I thought it was, that being said... No tutorial for these but I hope to film some this week!:) I really can't believe today is the last day of August! I mean really, where did it go?!?

For this look I used China Glaze Highlight of my Summer and Urban Outfitters Optic white. I have been using optic white a lot recently! It's really good! I'm considering making a post on the white polishes I use. Would that be something you all would like to see?

The flowers and white details were done with acrylic paints, a small dotter, and my favorite brush.

So what do you all think of this look? I think it works great for summer but would also look great in the spring! :) Let me know what you all think below! :)

Happy Painting!

Hello, so today I have 4 different zodiac constellations on my nails. I have never done nails like these so I want to know what you all think! Also I have a shiny version and a matte version. I'm not really sure which way I like it better, so I'm hoping you guys can help me decide!

First off the shiny version! For this look I used Zoya Willa as my base color. The best black ever for sure! Then I used and unnamed unbranded polish that I got with my nail dryer years ago. It's a little like China Glaze Fairy Dust, but strictly silver glitter! ;)

Now here is the matte version. For my matte top coat I used Urban Outfitters Matte Top Coat. I am slightly thinking I like this one more just because I feel like the actual constellations can be seen better. I did the constellations with silver acrylic paint. I started them with little dots made with my smallest dotter and then connected them small lines done with the silver acrylic paint.

Now I tell you which Zodiac/Constellation is on each nail. Starting with the Pinkie is the Aires, next is the Taurus, then the Leo, and lastly on my index finger is the Cancer. I've never really been into these but I thought it was a neat concept for nail art and I think stars are really neat! So what do you all think? Oh and which do you like, Matte or Shiny?

Happy Painting!

Hello! So today I am actually really excited about my nails! I tried the "drag  method" for the first time! So if you are a nail follower on Instagram you have probably heard of Sveta_sanders.  If not you need to look her up! Her nails are just WOW! Plus her tutorials make everything look so easy and effortless! Her "drag manis" have been featured on pretty much every nails account and they are just mesmerizing to me. So I decided to try one, and however it didn't turn out 100% I really like them!

First off I don't think they would look nearly as good with out these mega sparkly colors! ;D I feel like with out them they would look just blah and you would be able to see every little mistake! So thank you colors for being so beautiful and distracting! For this look I used Zoya Aurora and Color Club Harp on It.

You do this design one nail at a time because the "art" of it is all done while wet. You put on your main color and then an arch of another color where your moon would be, and then use a small dotter and drag it up towards your cuticle. All of this is done while you polish is wet!

I know it sounds a bit confusing but that's the best way I can really put it into words. I watched her tutorial probably about 20 times just to make sure I was doing it right. ;D

I really feel like these colors worked FABULOUSLY together! Plus all of this sparkle is just perfect! Gotta love sparkle! ;)

So what do you all think of this look? It's not perfect but it's fun!! Would you try this, or have you already? Any other color combo suggestions!? I hope you all enjoyed these as much as I did! Also to any of my readers who are being affected/are in the projected path of Tropical Storm Erika I hope you all are staying safe! This next week will be interesting for all Floridians!

Happy Painting!

Hello,  happy Friday night! :) I'm so sorry I feel like yes I have had a blog post up almost everyday as of recently, but not at a regular time. It seems like they keep getting delayed!:( Time to fix that this weekend though! Today's nails are inspired by a lovely mani I saw done by PamelaPomelo via Instagram.

They didn't turn out exactly like hers what so ever, but they are still kind of fun! I only took two pictures though sorry about that! Now for these I feel like I used a lot of polishes, so I am going to list all of the "colored" ones below. The white polish is my new favorite white, Urban Outfitters Optic White.

China Glaze - Grass is Lime Greener
China Glaze - At Vase Value
Color Club - Disco Dress
Color Club - Koo-Koo Cachoo
Color Club - Warhol

See what I mean, a lot of colors!;) All super great fun summer colors though! Well that is all for today's post! Going to go get ready for tomorrow's! I like tomorrow's nails, they are something I have never done before so should be interesting! ;) Hope you all enjoyed this post! Let me know what you all would like to see this weekend! Next week I am going to start the #31DC2015! I have never been able to really participate so this should be interesting for sure! 😃

Happy Painting!

Hello! Ok so I was lacking in ideas last night so I went with a swatch of a polish I haven't used in a long time. So today's post is a swatch of Color Club Harp on It.

This is just 2 coats and I just love this polish! It always makes me smile, and it's just so fun! The variety of colors that appear just make it so fun to look at in the Sunshine.

I mean I don't typically have 2 shots like these but you can really see how much it changes just with a little shift of my pose. It's amazing!

It's just too pretty! I swatched this for the first time 146 weeks ago on Instagram, I went and looked back at it and oh my! Big difference in my nails and I am so happy with how my nails look now. They just look more taken care of now! :)

One last picture of these! :) Ok so I hope to keep regularly posting but things may get a bit funky and not the same time everyday. We have been having some really bad storms lately and it's been affecting my capability to post at my normal times. :( Plus we have a possible hurricane coming in next week! (My first one in Florida) So that may also affect things going up! That all being said I am going to try my best to keep things as regular as possible!:) Well I hope you all enjoyed Harp On It! I love this polish so much, let me know what you all think?!

Happy Painting!

Hello! Hope you are having a lovely day, for some reason I keep thinking it's Tuesday, but it's not! Any way, so today I have a different floral. I'm not really sure how I feel about them.

So for this look I used Takko Lacquer BabyCakes. One coat, and I love this color. It's one that was released earlier this year. :) This floral look was slightly inspired by one of my favorites, Wondrously Polished. Mine came out nothing like hers though! :( For the details I just used acrylic paint and my usual brush.

It's a bit different, but still fun I guess! I love this polish.

On a different note I want to just mention the whole Mentality polish situation. It's so sad too see happening and sad to see how they are dealing with things. All of that being said I also hate to think that other indie brands are going to be affected by this as well. I haven't used many indie brands, Takko Lacquer, was my first one, and one of my favorites for sure. Honestly it's quality is better than some of the "mainstream" brands that I use. So I just really hate to think that this incident with Mentality will hurt other brands like Takko. As a blogger who reviews and swatches for indie brands from time to time, I just want you all to know if I were to ever review something and have a bad experience with it I would tell you. I am always completely 100% honest in every review that I write, and want to tell you how the product truly is. I know this isn't really related to this blog post but I used Takko Lacquer in it and I really just love Takko so I would hate for people to be hesitant when ordering. My best advice for anyone wanting to order an indie brand is... Check out their website, look at the ingredients, check their different social media accounts. Also check Instagram, see what other people are saying, and ask questions! :) it won't hurt, and hopefully you will then feel confident in what you decide to do.

Ok moving on now! :) Sorry about that, I just wanted to get that out there, I love indie brands and support them so it's sad that they are going to get a bad rap to an extent from all of this! Just remember not all brands are the same. The ones I have worked with are super nice! :)

One final picture for today's post!:) So what do you all think of these? I'm still not really sure about them! Well I hope you all enjoyed this post, now off to work on something else new!

Happy Painting!

Hello, so sorry about my little break! It was not intended what so ever! My place in which I do everything, paint, film, and write, was way too hot due to AC not working. On top of that I had to move all of my polish to a different room in order for it to stay the way it's supposed to be! Good news is that it got to go back this morning, and I shall be able to get back in routine tonight! However I did do a really simple look last night in my 83° room! Haha, I guess you could say I was desperate to paint! :)

Recently on Instagram I had a active follower of mine request a simple look that could be worn but not scream I'm wearing nail polish. One thing I don't really ever think about is that some people may not be allowed to wear polish to work, or school, or it may be restricted to certain colors. So I decided to do a quick tutorial for a French mani with a silver pinstripe. That way, it's a clean and subtle look, yet wearing it you still feel like you have some thing special on. :) So let's take a look now!

For this look I used my normal Seche Vite Base coat, then one coat of Zoyas Pink Perfector from the Naked Kit, and then I wanted a bright white so I used my favorite white. :) Then for the Pin Stripe I used silver acrylic paint!

Now check out the tutorial here...

Well I hope you all enjoyed this mani/look! Its a nice clean look in my opinion! :)

Hello! Hope your morning is going well! So today I have a pretty fun mani for you! I am semi pleased with how it turned out actually! My pointer finger is by far my favorite, the rest are eh. My pointer finger makes up for it for sure!

A bit of a mix and match mani! I wanted to do a gradation, and I wanted a tribal! I was actually going to have 2 nails of tribal but I ran out of time so glitter was the answer! ;) I mean isn't it always! ;D lol!!

So my pointer is no where near perfection but I feel like it's a big improvement for me. I really feel it tops every tribal I have ever done! Humm, I need to go through all my tribal nails and make a big collage picture so I can see if they are improving! May be kind of neat!

Sadly my gradation didn't come out exactly like I had wanted. I still like e the color combo tho! I used China Glaze Petal to the Metal and Urban Outfitters Bombay Funk. Both lovely polishes!!

Last photo! :) The glitter I used was my go to SpaRitual Charleston, and the white is Urban Outfitters Optic White. No tutorial for these this time. Maybe if I get getter at tribals I can film them! :) so what did you all think of today's nails? Let me know below! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Morning, happy weekend! I've decided to start my weekend with a floral. I think all of my regular viewers know by now that I love florals! ;) So I was looking back through my camera roll for inspiration, and came across a cute floral I had screen shot a few weeks ago. I looked at it for a bit and then decided to paint it on my nails! :) So let's look!

It's a super simple look actually! I started it with Wet N Wild - I need a Refresh- Mint, then did the dry brush method with OPI - Fly on top. (Tutorial will be in the bottom I half of this post). Then I just added the floral and that's it! Super simple, and yet such a fun mani!

I really like these, and I bet they would look good with a matte topper too! Oh no I think I am becoming a matte fan, so weird!  I have never been a fan of it before so this is a bit odd! Next up for you is the tutorial. :)

That's all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what you all think! Also if you want to be the first one to get a look at all the latest nails be sure to subscribe to my Youtube Channel, and follow me on Twitter! Those always go live first! ;)

Hello, happy Friday! Hope you all have had a lovely week! Today for you guys I have music inspired nails, and 2 tutorials! I am really loving the fact I am now capable of filming them. For one it's fun, and for two I know I love watching other people's so... It's just great! :) Today's nails were half inspired by the talented NailStorming, and music in general! To me music inspires me for like everything I do,and today's nails actually have a music theme, not just a song or musician inspired, so let's look at them. ;)

They are just a really fun black and white mani! :) The piano part was inspired by NailStorming and some nails she did earlier this week, and the others were just something I came up with.

For this look I used Zoya - Willa as my black. Urban Outfitters - Optic White as my white and then their matte top coat! I know this is crazy a matte mani from me two days in a row! This is craziness! I really liked it for this look though, for some reason it just seemed fitting. Oh and the glitter I used doesn't have a name, it was a polish I got with my nail drier years ago, that had no labeling at all.

Now time for the tutorials!

Piano Key Tutorial

Music Note Tutorial

So what do you all think!? I think they are really fun to do and have a nice appearance too! :) Well that's all for todays post I hope you enjoyed it! :)

Hello, hope you are having a lovely day! Today for you guys I have a mani swap! I'm pretty excited about these actually! I used a matte top coat for the first time! I'm not a matte girl but I do like it for certain designs. So I did this mani swap with LiveOnLacquer via Instagram, and her original design was matte so I went with it!:)

Here they are! ;) I love this girly nautical vibe! For this look I used Orly SnowCone and China Glaze Thistle Do Nicely, then I mattified it with Urban Outfitters Matte. All of the details were done with acrylic paints, and my favorite brush and some dotters!:)

Here is a more close up look! Also I actually have tutorials for each of these! Check them out below!

The Boat Wheel

The Anchor

Super fun mani in opinion! :) I am liking them a lot, and actually liking the matte as well! So what do you all think of these nails!? Our collaboration photo will be up on IG this evening so be sure to check it out! Hope you all enjoyed this post.

Hey! So sorry I have been off my game this week. I have been exploring a bit during the day when I typically blog but going to get back on track ASAP! :) Today I have a hot pink Zebra mani to share. No, hot pink zebras but hot pink with a zebra accent! ;)

This is a great design to do if you need something rather quick and yet you still want art! Plus if you have nail artist block this is a good simple thing to do to get you out of a funk! :)

For this look I used Nina Pro Punki Pink , Zoya Willa , and SpaRitual Charleston. If you haven't noticed, I love SpaRitual Charleston! It's such a lovely glitter and I can count on it. It's a one coater and it isn't a nightmare to remove! :) It's very easy actually, which I love about it! :)

The Zebra print was just done with black acrylic paint, and my favorite brush! The great thing about Zebra stripes is that, they don't have to be perfect, having  different thicknesses is actually not a bad thing since no Zebras stripes are perfect!:)

I did film a real quick tutorial for these too! So check that out here...

Hope you all enjoyed this little post for today! If you ever have any questions or comment be sure to ask! :) Also if you ever have any requests, leave them below! :)

Hello! Happy Monday?! I know that's probably not a thing, but today was fun! Explored a bit, hence the delayed arrival of this post! ;) Today I have some fun Florida like nails inspired by Nailsby_Ana via Instagram! Ahh, don't you just love Instagram?! So much inspiration on there! I just love it. ;)

I started this look with a gradation that I feel turned out pretty well! I used 3 of my Urban Outfitters polishes: Optic White, Flip Flop,& Love Letter. One this I have noticed about UO polishes is they work wonderfully for gradations!

It's such a great summery gradation, so enjoying it!:) I bet you can already guess what I topped it with considering the title of this post, but if not its Palm Trees!!! I love Palm trees. One of my favorite things about living in Florida would have to be seeing Palm trees everywhere. They are just so fun, and every tree is different! I just love it!!

They just make me so happy! These aren't my typical Palm trees that I do so it was nice to try something new, and I love them! :)

Nailsby_ana is the one who I based these off of, but I added the birds to add sown thing to make them a bit different!

One last picure! I really don't want to take them off, I really like them! What do you all think of these? If you are interested I also posted a tutorial on YouTube which you can check out below! :)

Let me know what you all think of these! :) Hope you enjoyed the post!

Hey there, everyone! So today I have another attempt at mermaid nails. Only this time, I am really happy with them! They actually came out like I had hoped, and I didn't have to purposely place anything in a certain area. ;)

So for this look I used What's Up Nails mermaid scale vinyls and it worked perfectly for once! Now for this look I used what seemed to be a lot of polish! So going to list it below!

Zoya - Willa
SpaRitual- Charleston
Sinful Colors - Palm Breezy
Sinful Colors - Ice Blue
Sinful Colors - Purple Diamond
Essence - Party Crasher

My index and pinkie fingers have 2 of the Singul Colors layered, and then the Essence  on top!

I really love how these turned out! What do you all think? I know today's post is a bit short, sorry about that! Also any nail art requests? Kinda at a lull in ideas for some reason!

Happy Painting!

Hello, happy weekend! Hope you all had a lovely week, and are having an even better weekend! I am happy to say it is sunny here, blue sky and big white puffy clouds too! It's very lovely this morning!:)

Today for you all I just have a fun little floral I did last night after trying another design and failing very badly! Floral seemed like a good fall back design. Also I made a gradation tutorial! It's for sure not that great, but I am thinking gradations are just the hardest things to film. On the other side of that though... I am trying out a new set up for filming, and I am hoping it will allow me to film more of my more detailed designs! So that's exciting. :-)

I really love this minty color if you can't tell already! I've only had it for like 2 weeks and I've already used it a ton! ;D For those of you who don't know... I recently tried Urban Outfitters polish for the first time and fell in love with them! For this mani the minty color is theirs, and is called Flip Flop. The white is also by them and is called Optic White. I just really love their polish!

The silver glitter is my personal favorite glitter, which is SpaRitual Charleston. I got it at a TJ Maxx last year and it is my first SpaRitual and I love it! For a glitter it comes off wonderfully! It's my go to full coverage glitter because I know it won't be a pain to take off! :D haha!

Now on top of the gradation I do have China Glaze Fairy Dust even though you can't really tell! I honesty do believe it is the key to a good looking gradation! ;) Now here is the tutorial for the gradation!

Well I hope you all enjoyed this post! I know I am enjoy these nails on! :) Still taking requests! I am loving doing more florals these days! :) Let me know what you think of these! :)

Happy Painting!

Hello! So took a mini break yesterday! I was loving the new tribal floral mani to much to take if off, so I didn't have anything new! So today I finally have something new, I got a fun polish from Urban Outfitters for my birthday called Calabunga so last night I tried it out! :)

So this is about 3 coats. It's a fun crellie, and the name is fun too! :) I love the variation of shapes and colors, it's unique.

It's like big mixed confetti in polish. So I also added some art. It kind of failed majorly, but I think the major reason it did so was the bumpiness of the glitter getting the "art" all bumpy and moved my brush in weird spots. Made it very tricky to do the art!

The idea in my head looked good but on not so much! :-/ SO.... Maybe I will try it again with a non bumpy polish! ;-)

That all being said, what do you all think? I'm not sure yet! I do like this polish tho! It's fun!!

Happy Painting!

Hello! So today I really like the nails I am sharing, when I started them I was not confident. When I got past part 1 I was like "oh great these are going to be terrible!" Then after part 2 and some top coat I really love them! So let's look at them!!!

These nails were inspired by Kayleehazacupcake via the wonderful world of Instagram! She did them a while back and I loved them but didn't think I could pull it off. Then so many others started recreating them too so last night I was just got the nerve up and did it! They mix two of my favorite types of nail art, florals and tribals!

My lines are not perfect by any means but I really think the flowers help in that department! That being said if you want to try this but you are worried about the lines, don't be! Just try it and place the flowers in certain spots! ;) Also just a FYI this is a new white and I am super impressed! This is Urban Outfitter Optic White, 2 coater, but I love it! Probably now one of my favorite whites I have, and that's saying a lot because I have a lot of different whites. Plus I like to have a good inexpensive white since I use it a lot and have to replace often and I think this will be my new go to because it is only $5 or 2 for $8 at Urban Outfitters and I will be honest if I go in there for polish I am bound to come out with more than one, especially since I now know I really like their polishes! ;)

I really love this look! I was planning on re doing my nails tonight, and I may still, but I really don't want to take them off! :D When I look at them from afar they look like stickers almost! Up close they don't my any means but I just love it!

I really want to work on my lines though. I love my brush but I'm thinking I may be interested in ordering some! Anyone have an suggestions? I mean I'm not sure a better brush is the answer but it may help?!

Also I did take a photo pre flowers, pre top coat so it really doesn't look that great, but I wanted it so I can re create same look in future and have before and after pics. So here is that picture of you are interested in seeing it!

You can really see how much of a difference the flowers and top coat make cant you?!

Well I hope you all enjoyed this post, and these nails! Make sure and let me know what you think!

Happy Painting!
