ColourPop Nail Polish

Hey there guys! So this post has been a long time. As soon as I heard Colourpop was was releasing polish I was most excited. I mean the rule the affordable makeup so why wouldn't I be excited about some polish!? :) However when they released I was so busy and never got around to ordering them, however I have them now and am ready to chat about them!

ColourPop Nail Polish

Towards the end of August they went on sale and I was most excited. They were normally $6 but they were on sale for $3 so you know I couldn't pass that up! So as I was researching to see if they were all still available I found that they are still available now and they are still on sale for $3 each! They each come in their own nice little boxes that are labeled as to what polish is in what!

The inside of the boxes are quite cute too, they have fun little polka dots as you can see here! All of the polishes are Made in the USA and are Cruelty Free as all of ColourPop products are! Now I was looking into if these will be at the Sephora release next month and sadly there is no way to know.

ColourPop Nail Polish

It is currently looking like the polishes may be gone after they are done with the current amount the have right now. I haven't heard ColourPop say that yet but they removed the polish section from the site and you have to find it by searching on the site now. Plus they never restocked the other polish I didn't get to get so there is another sneaking suspicion that they may be done once these sell out. Who knows! I have asked them but have not heard anything. I am hoping they continue with polish because this collection was really nice.

ColourPop Nail Polish

In total I have 4 cremes, and one topper as you can see above. The cremes are; Pixi-lated, First Wings First, Be Fairy Afraid, and Dust a Dream. Then the topper is in the middle and its called I Wand it that Way. Any one else read that line in the tone of the Backstreet Boys song?! ;)

ColourPop Nail Polish Dust a Dream

Dust A Dream
1-2 coats

A light minty green that reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream! :) I really liked this one! The formula was nice and it covered really well. If you do super thin coats I do believe you will need two however if you do normal thickness you most likely will be happy with one.

ColourPop Nail Polish Be Fairy Afraid

Be Fairy Afraid
2 coats

A light gorgeous pink. Its that perfect pink color! I did find this one a lot more transparent that the others so I do think no matter how thick you do your coats you will need to do 2 coats.

ColourPop Nail Polish First Wings First

First Wings First
1-2 coats

A light lavender that I really like. I was probably least excited about this shade yet its turned into one of my faves. The formula was really nice and most I got full coverage in one coat. If you do super thin coats I do believe you will need two however if you do normal thickness you most likely will be happy with one.

ColourPop Nail Polish I Wand it that Way

I Wand it that Way
1 coat(s)

A gorgeous topper that pulls a lot of purple and pink and a hint of gold and its stunning! This is one of those top coats that will work on any polish but will reach its full potential  on darker shades. So that being said lets check it out on black!

ColourPop Nail Polish I Wand it that Way

Gorgeous right?! I love it! It reminds me of one of those pigments people now buff into gel manis. However this is polish, and this was just one normal coat. Talk about great distribution.

Here it is shifting!

ColourPop Nail Polish Pixi-lated

Pixi-lated
1-2 coats

A perfect sky blue polish. If you do super thin coats I do believe you will need two however if you do normal thickness you most likely will be happy with one. This polish does have a few issues so lets check that out below.

ColourPop Nail Polish Pixi-lated

So the first time I used the polish I put on a top coat and noticed that it changed the color of the polish as you can see above. It was a new top coat that I don't always use so I thought maybe it was wonky. I then took it off and started over. Tried my trusty Seche and it did the same thing. It changes the gorgeous blue into this weird yellowed blue. Ugh, yeah I was most unhappy because the color along was gorgeous but the top ruined it. Such a bummer.

Overall considering all of the polishes I really liked them, and I would recommend all of them besides the blue. Unless you are ok with that color change. If you are then go for it because this is quality polish for $3! Can't beat that! Now I was debating on saving this next bit but time has gone by insanely quick so I thought ya know what? Lets post double videos today! Yep you read that correct, you guys I have ANOTHER video and its a Paint With Me with one of these polishes! How Exciting right? Now lets check it out!

Now lets take a look at some photos shall we?

ColourPop Nail Art

Here it is! I used Fairy Afraid as the base and then all of the art was freehanded with acrylic paint as you saw in the video! :) Hope you guys enjoyed it!

ColourPop Nail Art

Well that is it for today! I really hope ColourPop continues to venture into polish. Its exciting when a new brand does polish and I think the polish industry could use a company like ColourPop joining in and shaking things up! :) Well that is it for today! Hope you have enjoyed this post! It was super fun to create, and put together. I do have another new post coming up soon featuring one of these polishes and maybe even a new video! ;) Ya never know!!

Happy Painting!

  1. I totally forgot that CP had done nail polish. I bet they sell out after your fantastic post. The top coat really makes them come alive. I like the pink and purple a lot.

  3. I hate when pigmnets fight with topcoat. I had the perfect 90s raisin...that changed to brown with every topper. Totally not happy.

    1. Right?! I feel like they did little to no promoting honestly and its sad because they have so much potential. Looks like they have marked them down to $3 for good too and it kind looks like thats it and there won't be more.... :(

Aw thank you! I bet you could do it! Ha, it was pretty simple! I talked through it on YT and I sped through it on IG! hehe!

    1. They didn't promote it all that much which is sad. Plus now it is hidden on the site you have to search "nail polish" before it will show up.

  10. Wow, those pastels are perfect! Often times they are streaky and chalky. I hope color Pop keeps stocking them.

  12. That nail art is so cute! It's a shame about the blue changing with top coat, but other than that, you can't beat $3 nail polish!
