Digital Dozen | Day 1 | All That Glitters

Hello everyone! Welcome to the first Digital Dozen week of 2018! This is totally taking me off my posting of every other day but thats ok! It just means multiple days of art. :) Also turns out glitter is hard to use with art, I am quickly learning why I use glitter as an accent nails! Ha! Anywhooo lets check out these nails!

Funny story, these are actually my major fail nails of the week. Well so far that I know of because I still don't have them ALL done but this mani did not work out how I had hopes. So my original ideal was to use China Glaze Don't Be a Snowflake as my glittery polish because I think its my fave glitter. Then the next ideas was to use a light blue and a light purple to do snowflakes all over.  I did that and while the concept was good they barely showed.

After realizing the issue I went ahead and tried top coat and took pictures. Nope, it was still a no go. That being said I was getting fed up with it so I kinda gave up. Went on and did other things. Then later like 2-3 hours afterwards I decided to cover them in cobalt and then give them white on the inside just for more detail and I think that helped a lot.

Its obviously not what I "envisioned" but I think it came out fairly decent if I don't compare it to what the original idea was! I have this weird feeling snowflakes are going to be a theme this week. I'm still in the post Christmas, "What do I paint" phase because Christmas art is just my favorite. I hope you all enjoyed these tho! I can't wait to see what everyone else has done. Plus we have new members with us now which it super exciting!
