January Favorites | 2018

Hello there everyone! Hope you are having a good week so far. Kind of crazy that it is already the end of January! 2018 has been quite a year already. Anywhooooo, today I am playing catch up and trying out something new! So first off I have a favorites video for you. Last year I did many Favorites posts at the end of this month and this year I am trying to do that in video form for nail polish! Eppp, definitely different and the video was interesting to make but I kind of had a lot of fun! So first off I will go through my monthly fave polishes! Then I will have the mani I did for the Digital Dozen Birthday collab, then lastly I will have some art done with one of the fave polishes for the month! Woo, that was a lot so lets go!

Here it is guys! My first ever favorites video. All new set up, all new everything. This whole layout was so different and the style/structure was so different but I kinda loved it. You will have to let me know what you thought! I have a few more ideas of what types of videos this set up could allow for and its kind of exciting! Now lets move on to some wrap up art!

Now each month the Digital Dozen does a themed mani for the girls in the group who are celebrating their Birthdays. I have always tried to participate but its always at the end of the month and it always seems to be a busy time for me. That being said I don't often get to get to join in. For 2018 tho I am trying SOOO hard to do it. This is the one for January! Its a super fun cacti mani to celebrate these too fabulous ladies.....  Polished Lifting and Druid Nails Happy Birthday girls!! 

I LOVED our prompt photo but I just felt like my nails didn't do it justice. You can check out the inspo here. I would do it different if I did it again for sure.

Now on to the last look for today/this month. I thought since the favorites video was coming out it would only be right to try some nail art with one of the polishes that made it into the favorites so this mani includes Smokey Mountain Lacquer Sweet which I originally posted about HERE. Plus it includes a fun sweater print like design. I feel like I've slacked in the winter art realm this month and I think its mainly due to the fact winter is just not my thing.

That being said this mani was really fun to do honestly. I loved doing the more intricate design. Not my best work but it was fun and totally makes me want to do more like this in the near future! :)

For the art nail the base polish is INM So Nude and Nancy which I am really coming to like! Its a good neutral to use when you want white but not bright white ya know? Now the black is Zoya Willa which is a great black!
