Hello there and welcome back! It's finally time for me to show you guys the China Glaze Spring collection, The Arrangement. It would have gone up a LONG time ago had being sick not gotten in the way, but it did and it really prolonged things sadly. Anywhoo we are past that now and it's time for the big ole post! 12 brand new polishes from China Glaze! Lets chat a bit first. :)
Overall when I saw the collection it didn't scream spring, and still doesn't too me really. I think about half of the shades are good for spring but the other half, eh not so much. That being said, this mix also gives shades for everyone. If you prefer a darker polish, you have options, and if you like lighter ones you also have options.
This is Ranunculus
2 coats
Steel blue with a green undertone and a gold shimmer.
Ok lets get into things! This polish is a neat one! Very much one of those dusty trendy shades that has been popular this spring season. This has a nice formula, and covers completely in 2 coats, I really liked it and the shimmer in it is a nice touch. I was a bit worried it wouldn't show on the nail but it did.
Show Em Who's Blossom
2 coats
Sage green crème.
Not gonna lie, I've not really been on board with the dusty shades for spring but I'm warming up to the idea, and I love this one. I've always liked green shades like this but I've not seen one quite like this. Its really a nice soft shade of green, and I was obsessed with on my nails. It was perfect in 2 coats, and was shiny but that top coat really makes it extra shiny on and very enjoyable to wear.
There She Rose Again
3 coats
Pink Jelly
Love this shade of pink, its happy and does say spring even though it is a tad muted. I really wanted to like this but it was a jelly that needed 3 coats so I wasn't in love with it. Granted it was a nice jelly, applied evenly and did build up well. So if you are looking for a good pink jelly I would say this is that. If you are thinking/hoping for a good pink creme then its not gonna satisfy you. All around a good pink jelly tho! :)
What's Up Bittercup
2 coats
Bronze Metallic
Ok, so if you are like me you are looking at this thinking Ok this is pretty and all but I though it was a spring collection. Yeah I'm not sure I love this for spring but I will have to say I was surprised by how much I did like the polish. It had a nice formula, went on really well, didn't have major brush stroke problems, which is FABULOUS. So this is a really nice polish, jut not something I would chose to wear during this time of year.
Lavenduh!
2 coats
Light purple/periwinkle creme.
The name! Ha! Totally makes me smile! :) Hopefully it gave you a smile too. This shade I really like a periwinkle actually. A lil blue, a lil lavender, its really nice. The formula was nice too, two quick coats and its ready!
Hydrangea Dangea
2 coats
Light blue with silver shimmer.
Love love love this happy blue. Very much a spring shade with an ever so slightly dusty element which is just right in my opinion. This takes 2 coats more often than not, if you do really thin coats with this though you may need a third. That being said I think the more your bottle is open the thicker it will get and it probably will be even 2 coats for you too.
Good As Marigold
2 coats
Bright Orange Creme.
Whew! This is bright, not quite neon but most certainly a bright orange that is perfectly named for a flower. Totally get that, and its also a really good sunset orange. This has a really nice formula and does cover quickly in 2 coats.
I Still Beleaf
2 coats
Steel Grey/Green Metallic.
Again, not a spring color in my mind, but its a really nice polish. Great formula/coverage in 2 coats, and I like how its like a steel grey, but also pulls a lot of green. Its really a nice polish. I'll grab for it in the fall.
Saved By the Blue Bell
2 coats
Navy Blue Creme.
You can always use a navy blue. This one is a nice one, but a bit brighter than a traditional navy and maybe even has a lil green in it. It has a nice formula. It starts a bit sheer but does cover 100% in 2 coats.
Señora Flora
*matte finish*
2 coats
Muted coral dries to a matte finish.
The matte drying polishes formulas have come a long way, and I like them now. They allow you to actually get the polish fully on the nail before they dry which is SO good. This is a pretty peachy/corally shade that I do really like. I would personally prefer a shiny top for it, but still its a really lovely polish!
Better Late than Nectar
1 coat Topper
Orange iridescent glitter.
You should recognize the pink under this topper from earlier, There She Rose Again. This is a very nice iridescent topper you can really put on anything and it will look nice and lean a pink orange/pink.
Wild Flower Hour
1 coat Topper
Translucent purple with silver glitter.
Here we have a topper on top of, Saved By the Blue Bell. This is a topper that pulls more bronze and purple and just adds a lil extra sparkle to anything. I think it will look good on anything, and it covers really nicely and evenly.
Well thats a wrap! I hope you have enjoyed hearing about the new China Glaze Spring Collection, what did you think of the collection? I think it was interesting for spring. Not all spring shades for me, but I do like a good handful of the polishes for spring. I do have a Youtube video up for the collection HERE, two of the polishes didn't get captured but I did talk about those two so let me know if you have any questions. :)
