Hello there! Welcome back, whew its been a busy weekend huh?! Lotsa posting going on over here. Today I have a fun lil Sallys Hansens post for you! They recently sent over their new Petal Soft Shades from their Color Therapy collection as well as some new floral decals to pair with! So today I thought it would be nice to chat about them and I've also included 2 videos for this post, one for the swatching and one for applying the decal if you haven't used one before! :) So lets take a peek!
Bluebell Bloom
2 coats
A light periwinkle blue
First off lets chat about the brushes on these brushes. You will be able to see them in the live swatches for sure but they are so nice. They are bigger, but not too thick, which is important. Plus they have a flatter tip to the brush which is nice for a clean cuticle line.
This polish overall was nice, I've really been enjoying this shade of blue/perwinkle lately so I was quite content with this one. The first coat was meh but the second coat took care of that!
Balmy Blush
2 coats
A light mauve pink.
Now to a nice pink, this actually look darker on the nail than it does in the bottle which I'm happy about because its a nice pink/mauve. This covered in the same way the past polish did. Also something to note about these, is that they dry down to more of a matte/ satin finish. I think this is pretty normal for polishes that have vitamins/oils in them. This collection is the "Argan Oil Formula" so I'm thinking that is why.
Daisy Dreaming
2 coats
An off white that has a light pink tone.
Now on to a white shade that pulls an ever so slight pink tone. Very hard to see the pink, definitely leans more white than anything. This covered nicely in 2 coats. As for the satiny finish I topped all o these with the Sally Hansen Color Therapy top coat to get maximum shine.
Freesia Fancy
3 coats
A very light pink with a shimmer in the bottle, doesn't appear on the nail.
This is such a nice soft pink! In the bottle it appears to have a slight shimmer but I cannot see it on the nail art all! This one is a bit thinner than the rest too, it took about 3 coats to get me to full coverage!
Now here are some manis I did using the decals. For this one I used the Beautiful Bouquet pack. It looks like pressed flowers and I love the overall idea of the look. These did adhere to my nails better than most for, but I didn't love the thickness. I'm not a textured nail gal so I'm loving the fact I can feel the decals, it makes me want to peel them off.
Despite that tho they are cute! :) I could see wearing them for like a quick lil event, but not too long term. I's pick off the decals. Ok I did. Ekkk I know!
Now I wanted to do something a bit more Me! :) Ha! The ! does not mean there is a Panic! at the Disco mani coming. #Justsayin but also umm, I kinda love the fact people guessed the collaboration based off that and they were RIGHT! Plus now the search people are doing now to find out CD details in the video. Reminds me of when I would get a Taylor Swift CD and immediately grab a piece of paper and go through the lyric book and write down all of the capital letters to find the message. Hehehe!
Now lastly I used the Flower power back to create this fun lil daisy mani that is totally giving me festival vibes! :) Again tho I'm just not crazy about the feel of the decals on my nails. Even with top coat I think they are a tad thick and can totally snag things.
Well everyone that is a wrap for this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! If you want to see the video I will link them below, and these polishes are available now anywhere Sally Hansens is sold!
Happy Painting!

These are all such delicate colours! I love the decals too!
ReplyDeleteI love the formula of this line! I keep watching for this new collection online but it doesn't seem to be on the e-tailers yet
ReplyDeleteThis is totally my color palette. I love them all! And your art!
ReplyDeleteI love all of them. Such a great collection of delicate shades.
ReplyDeleteBalmy lush is my favorite! But I agree, the decals are pretty yet too thick and you can see the edges.
