August 2020 Polish Pickup

Hello! Hope you are having a good day! Today I am trying something a bit different. As most of you know I swatch  a handful of Polish Pickup polishes, and I usually blog them as well. With the changes I have been making here on the blog I thought I would also change how I share the PPU Polishes, and I actually think it will easier for you as viewers and or shoppers of the PPU so..... I will be post videos when ever they are ready on Youtube, then when I am done with all of the videos I will compile a blog post of all of the polishes + links to the videos so you can find them all in once spot for that month. Hopefully this is helpful! 

So first off, the August Polish Pickup will be August 7th - 10th, on the PPU website here. This month I have swatched 3 shades for the month, and the brands are listed below so you can see if what you are looking for is in this post! Also will link to the videos next to the brand name. Then you can scroll to read about the polishes + details of each of them.

A bright shamrock green cream filled with multichrome flakies shifting silver/gold/green and red/orange/yellow/green shifting iridescent flakies. It is inspired by the digital rain from the film The Matrix.

This polish will be $12 and there will be no cap.

This polish is so nice! Perfect formula, and covers really well in 2 coats. It has a nice creamy feel to it yet the flakies still show and its just the perfect mix!

The P is Silent

2 coats

A Huckleberry crellie filled with platinum micro flakies, and purple, blue, green and gold shifty micro flakies.

A note from the Maker; 

Being a Medical Microbiologist, I knew that the theme Weird Science would be a fun one for me! I work with many crazy, amazing, and some not so cool things. Bacteria in general does whatever it wants and likes to thumb it's nose at "the rules", so of course I had to choose a bacteria I work with for this theme.  The "P" is Silent was inspired by the metallic shifty nature of the bacteria Pseudomonas. Not only does it have several different looks to it but it also has an abnormal quality of having a good smell. Pseudomonas most often smells like a fake grape smell (like kool aid), but it can also smell like tortillas or pepto bismol. 

This is such a pretty dusty purple shade. I love the silver in it that makes it so eye catching. The formula is nice and covered perfectly in 2 coats!

Recreational Chemistry

A bright blue leaning purple cream base packed with UCC flakies that shift in every shade of green, pink, and purple.

This polish will be $13 and there will be no cap.

The flakies in this polish are literally a chrome rainbow and its so fun! This polish covers perfectly in 2 coats and the creamy like formula actually works perfectly with flakies, no magic is lost! :) Woo!
