Trees in the South : Inspired by Magnolia Street in St Augustine Florida

Hey y'all, happy Friday! Hope y'all are having a nice day! Today's nails are a bit different, kind of a fail yet at the same time they are growing on me. I've always showed my love of Palm trees so I thought it was time I show my love for the other southern Florida trees, live oaks covered in Spanish moss!

These nails were inspired by the lovely Magnolia Street in St Augustine, Florida which just happens to be one of the top 10 most beautiful streets in the United States. Also it just so happens to be located in Americas oldest city which just makes it another level of neat. :) Above here you are seeing 2 nails which are a part of this nail look and the picture I took looking down Magnolia Street. On the right side of the street you see a short walk which is actually a coquina wall. It's neat because in person you can see all of the shells in the wall. :) On the other side of the wall is the Fountain of Youth, and peacocks. If you are ever visiting St Augustine you can take a ride on the Red Train (Trolley) and it will take you down the street and you can snap some of your own pictures like I did. :) Also on the Ride they will tell you a lot of the history of the area and it's just super fun! You may also see peacocks! We've seen them sitting on top of the coquina wall when driving by, and you can definitely hear them.

I don't know why but for the past few days I've really just wanted to try and paint this and I finally did and last night after I did them I did not like them, however now I like them a bit more. The one thing I really wish I could of captured more is the Spanish miss. I absolutely love going places around here because everything is just so beautiful! From the hauntingly romantic Spanish miss, the very large live oaks, the river, the Intracoastal waterway, to the beach and all of the Palm trees everything here is just beautiful. If y'all ever get a chance to visit Jacksonville, and or St Augustine be sure to take that chance because it's a lovely place.

Now that I am liking these nails a bit more I really want to find a way to do more nails and posts related to the area in which I am in. It's really just so lovely and I love being able to write about it and be inspired by it. I am always finding new hidden places that I love so maybe I can try to keep this style of post going. Well I hope y'all have a lovely weekend! If you are having good weather, which I hope you are, go out and enjoy it! Oh and if your lucky enough to be in this area go out and enjoy the water, have a nice dinner and a sunset. I'm thinking some fried shrimp, and maybe some cheesy grits sound yummy. Which is super weird, I was never a fan of grits but as of the past month or two I've been liking them more. I think it all because of the fried cheesy grits I had! Those were so good! :D Haha, well enough about that! Hope y'all have a lovely rest of your day and I will see y'all back here tomorrow!

Happy Painting!
