BPS Review : Color Changing Polish

Press Sample

Hey guys, so today I have a new review for you, with a transition polish from the Born Pretty Store. I'd like to be really excited about it but in all honesty I'm not sure about this product.

So this polish in the bottle appears to be purple. A nice purple at that. I put it on and it's formula was very weird. It was thick and thin. I know that sounds a bit odd but it's really how I would describe it. Also while putting it on there were some weird things that showed up. For example a little red ball of paint and when I continued the stoke down it pulled a line of red. Then on another one it did the same thing with white.

Right when I put it onto my nails it was purple but about after 15 minutes it turned to a blue with some purple. Like pictured below. I know the blue is the part that is touching my skin, and the purple isn't so that is the temperature difference doing that.

Now I left it like this for about half an hour  to just see if it evened out, but it didn't. So now it was time for water, too see what hot and cold did to it. First I put it under color and it did nothing. Then I put it on hot and suddenly we got some color change!

This color was a pretty color to transition too! Up next I put them under cold water, and we got full out purple like in the bottle.

So after this changing to purple it stayed purple. Even in room temperature, where before it was the weird blue and little bit of purple. I know positively that it stayed this purple for an hour but then it got to a point where there were weird water marks. Kind of like drips, but more like water on a windshield. That's the best way I can describe it really.

Overall, I was not impressed with this polish. The formula was just not that great, and the polish didn't transition smoothly or accurately.

All of that being said, if you would like to check out this polish you may HERE. Plus if you are shopping in the Born Pretty Store you can use this promo code, 25SPW10 for 10% off your entire purchase, and there is free shipping.

Well I hope you all learned something in this blog post!:)

Happy Painting!
