Hey y'all! Hope you are having a fantastic day, today's post is a bit bittersweet. I have the last swatch for the fall line! However since I am on the last one and this was a series of one polish a day until the release that means TOMORROW they all come out! Yay!! Now on to the final polish of the Fall line, I would like to introduce you to Paper Cuts!
Paper Cuts - A highly pigmented shiny blood red
Paper Cuts is a lovely red polish! This is actually a Takko first! Sheryl has never released a full out creme. So this is pretty exciting! The formula on this polish was perfect! It has a great creaminess, not too thick and not too runny. Really it was just right! Also when dried it was shiny! I mean I would always wear a top coat with any polish but it did dry shiny which is neat! I love the color too it's a really nice deep red. Also Sheryl recommends a base coat because this polish is more pigmented which can stain your nails a bit. Now I always use a base coat so this was no biggie! I just took the polish off and the staining was pretty much nonexistent. I can tell I had a red on a teeny bit just from the edges but I wouldn't say that is necessarily from "staining". It's most likely that I didn't get in the little crack between nail and my skin! So I really would not say staining is a problem with a base. Now with out a base you may have an issue but that I did not try.
With most pure red polishes I have found that they bubble. I don't know why that is but for the longest time I was searching for just the right red. I now pretty much only use Zoyas red. That is just what works for me. So when I was using this polish and I noticed it did NOT bubble I was SUPER excited!!! That is so rare for reds at least in my experiences! So this red is a rare red in my book and that's a good thing!
I did add some art on top of this lovely red! I went for a fall leaf look with some golden swirls!
I wasn't sure what I was going to do when I started this design but I am really liking them now!
Here is an up close look for ya!
Overall I really like this polish. The color is really nice, formula was great, and the no bubbling part made me super happy! Plus I really didn't find staining to be an issue! So what do you all think of this polish and the art?
The release of this polish is October 8th at 8 pm EST. Along with it Sheryl will also be restocking Constellations from the summer line. As of right now this release/restock is USA only but there is a release/restock coming soon. For all details on that be sure to check her RESTOCK page. She is great about keep it all up to date. :)
Happy Painting!
