Sand Dollar Beach Nails

Hey there lovelies! Guess what?! It's the weekend, and today my nails are beachy and that alone makes me so happy! We've been having a lot of rain and storms this week so didn't get to make it to the beach so I thought I would just put the beach on my nails. ;)

They were simple and super quick to do actually! All I did was a gradation using 3 colors for my base! The blue is Serendipity Nail Polish Vitamin Sea (Oh how I LOVE that name). Then I put a bit of a white, and then the sandy color is Serendipity Nail Polish Peace, Love & Sandy Feet. I mean seriously I don't think those names could of been better! :D They are just perfect, and they were perfect to use!! After the gradation I added the water ripples and waves with white acrylic paint.

I've done all different combos of these so this time I decided to do a Sand Dollar for something different. It wasn't really planned but I looked over and saw the one I found last spring on my book case and thought oh why not! ;)

Here is a picture I took Spring of 2015 when I found this beauty! This is the one and only one I have ever found and Instill can't believe I finally found one! I tell ya beaches are so fun if you go to the right ones. :) So here is a fun fact I just found when trying to look up the story about Sand Dollars.... Sand Dollars are actually burrowing sea urchins! Kinda neat little fact there! :) However I never did continue to find the story about the sand dollar! Oh well, I guess that's a story for another day. :)

Well I hope y'all are loving these as much as I am! They are probably one of my new faves just because they were inspired by places and things I love. I love being able to do nail art inspired by local things. I feel like it's just special ya know? Well thanks to y'all who are still reading this! I know things have been different on Instagram lately and it's been sad to see it kind of just go downhill. Just know that I really appreciate all of those who take time to look at and read my blog! I love doing this and y'all keep me going. Thank you all so so much!

Happy Painting!
