Hello! Guys, I am so excited for this weeks Digital Dozen theme! This week we are redoing art. Now at first I was freaking out a bit. I was like umm, there is no way I can do this. I cant recreate art masterpieces from art museum. Then it hit me... No one said that was the type of art it had to be. It just has to be a recreation of some type of art. No specific art. Which then made me excited. I started thinking about notebook designers, and stationary and then just Florida related things and go super excited! That being said I am so excited for todays nails which are Lilly Pulitzer Inspired!
Ahh, these nails are just so happy and fun! They were inspired by this print. Now I know Lilly Pulitzer tends to be a southern thing, West Palm, and all and not everyone likes it. I personally like bits and pieces. I think there are some pieces of the clothing lines that are great and others that aren't. I personally like them all more as accessories, or stationary. The art prints are all amazing! Especially with by love of all things beachy! 😊💕 Plus for this print, oh my Palm trees and summery colors. You know I couldn't pass up something like that up!
The base pink is China Glaze Heat Index. Which is such a gorgeous color! Then all of the art was done with acrylic paint. Which I will say was actually a lot of fun! Started the art with a white base and then just added the colors on afterwards. It was surprisingly simple, and quick!
I am very happy with how this mani came out, and I can't wait to see everyones manis this week! I think there are going to be some really neat manis. Plus I am actually now excited about what I am going to do! I just hope they all turn out! If they do this could be a very good week! 😊 Also just in case you want to follow along I will be posting potential ideas on my pinterest which ya'll can find here. Plus ya know I post nails daily so! 😉 If you're into that kinda thing you may like to join! I will see ya'll back here tomorrow!
Happy Painting!
