Envy Lacquer | The Mermaid at Sea Live Swatches

Hello there! Today I have swatches of the brand new Envy Lacquer The Mermaid at Heart collection! Plus beyond just photos I have a video up on Youtube. So enough chit chat, because well I have a LOT of photos for you! :)

You guys should really watch the video, I feel like a few of the polishes had things that one can't really describe in written word, so I do think it may help some in seeing what I mean! :)

Abalone Crown

2-3 Coat(s)

A cruelly polish filled with many different types of flakies that appear as if they are little pieces of glass, along with a slight holo and purple to green shimmer.

The formula on this one is interesting. Its a bit thick, which I think you can see pretty well in the video. The first coat goes on fairly nice, but the second one seems to get a bit "goopy". So the best way to go about it is to have really big dry times in between coats.

You almost get full coverage in 2 coats, but 3 is a guaranteed full coverage. I think the coat amount tho can change a lot depending on your nails. Just because the main part for you is that you white nail line is covered, but if your's isn't too bold you may be done quicker. Also another way to wear this would be one thin coat on top of white.

Seafoamin' Around

A lovely minty seafood colors filled with micro flakies, shimmers, and glitters.

This polish is stunning it has a lot of fun little glittery bits that you just see more while wearing. I had great coverage in 2 coats.

SPOILER This is probably my favorite polish from this collection. Its so happy and I really enjoy the glitters in it. Plus I get the ocean vibe from it, I was actually at the beach yesterday and there was a part in the water as the waves were coming in that had this color in it.

Sunset Sands

2-3 Coat(s)

A golden micro flake base where you just get a great mix of colors coming through on the holo bars that are in it. Really this is one that is just hard to describe with words other than lovely! Haha!

This polish is a bit sheer and did take a full 3 coats. This one has a bit of the same formula that Abalone Crown has. So you so have to be a bit careful with it when applying.

To use it with out 3 coats I could definitely see layering it on top of a golden or rose gold polish to expedite time!

Mermaid Hair Don't Care

1-2 Coat(s)

A creme with a jelly like opaqueness. I would describe this as a orange red like Ariels hair, and has a slight copper shimmer.

Formula wise this was my favorite one! It went on so nicely, and was almost opaque in one coat! Check out the video for proof!

I love how Little Mermaid this is! I think I may just have to do some art, what do you think!?

Don't be a Seawitch

2 Coat(s)

A deep violet with a bright magenta shift in direct light. It has a scattered holo along with some bright green flakies the give a sea glass look. 

This polish is just stunning and the photos really don't do it justice. It really has so much depth and holo to is! I love how it looks on. Kind of looks velvety to me. I'm not sure why, but deep colors which a scattered holos always make me think of velvet!

Love how much of the magenta shows in this photo! Its just lovely!

Make Waves

2 Coat(s)

This beauty is loaded with a bunch of deep teal glitters lots of which are holo which make this sooooo distracting!. 

This covered really nicely in 2 coats. Its does dry to a bit of a textured finish so you will want a good thick top coat to top it off with if you aren't a fan of any sort of texture.

This polish is really just stunning. The glitter is insane and looks amazing in all types of lights! I feel like this color came out very accurately on camera and I'm just loving it!

I've just realized that the video has a few scenes that repeat! Not sure what happened with that! Also on the few polishes that I mentioned being a bit thicker/goopy she has been continually working on those to get them smoother before the release date! :)
