Hello there everyone! Hope you are having a nice weekend, plus since its the weekend that also means I have a new video for you! :) This weekends video is a live swatch video for some of Essie's Best Sellers. That all being said lets take a look at these!
Here is the video with all of the polishes swatches right in front of you!
Double Breasted Jacket
1-2 Coat(s)
Red/pink creme that is quite bold. It could almost be considered a red but at the same time has a slight hint of magenta.

This one I did like. Its formula was nice to work with and applied evenly. I do think most will be able to get away with one coat, some who do their coats thin tho may prefer to of 2. I did notice it running down the stem of the brush while applying it to my nails so you do have to be a bit careful.
Kimono-over
1 Coat(s)
The perfect eggplant purple. From a distance some may mistake it for black but it is just a very dark purple.

Out of all of the polishes in this post I do believe this one is my favorite one formula wise. I got great coverage in just one coat and had no issues applying it. It was a breeze!
Mochacino
2 Coat(s)
Greyige with a thick silver shimmer.

Out of the more "neutral" colors in this bunch this one was my favorite. It was by far the easiest to work with and it also is more of a unique finish for a mainstream polish which is refreshing!
Sunshine State of Mind
1-2 Coat(s)
A great orange that pulls a tad more red than your typical orange.

This one applied nicely. I am not an orange fan but I like how this one pulls a bit more red. Also I like the name! ;)
Butler Please
2 Coat(s)
Bold cobalt blue.
Bold cobalt blue.
This color has been one of my fave polish colors for 2017 so I was excited about this! Sadly tho, I wasn't thrilled with the formula. I feel like it kind of starts to dry before you are done applying it and in return pulls at the tips and can get icky. However with top coat it evens all up.
Trophy
2 Coat(s)
Metallic Emerald color perfect for fall.
Metallic Emerald color perfect for fall.
This one was really nice and easy to use. The first coat goes on quite thin but the 2nd coat gets you full coverage.
Bare with Me
2 Coat(s)
Peachy toned nude with a slight hint of pink.
Peachy toned nude with a slight hint of pink.
The formula on this one was pretty easy to work with. It did get a bit patchy but reached full opacity in 2 coats. This one is one you will want to see in person before buying because personally I don't feel like it works with my skin tone, however if I were tanner I think it could look really nice. or even if I were paler it might look better.
Limo-Scene
2-3 Coat(s)
Milky nude that is more of a white.
Milky nude that is more of a white.
This one was my least favorite. Its extremely thin and streaky. It took 3 coats to reach the opacity of what you see above, and personally I still see some spots where there could be more polish. It wasn't fun to work with either. Not only was it thin but it also seemed to run to the edges of my nails and become thicker little pools there which I wasn't a fan of at all.
I thought it you could use just one coat and have it as a french base so I gave it a go. Sadly tho it didn't really work like I had hoped. Its so hard to get an even later of it with it being this thin milky/runny consistency so you have to be super careful if using it as a french base.
If you look just below my moons you can tell how the polish isn't even and it just kind of appears to be a bit brush stroke-y there.
Big Spender
1-2 Coat(s)
Deep berry tone magenta perfect as we move into fall.
Deep berry tone magenta perfect as we move into fall.
This one did require 2 coats but I really like the color and I feel like this color in particular will be a popular one this fall! The formula was easy enough to work. I did encounter a bit of it running down my brush a bit too fast but once you know about that you can just be careful.
Pink Diamond
2 Coat(s)
Light pink that has a pearly finish.
Light pink that has a pearly finish.
This one had potential but the pearly finish was not for me. Even tho it went on in 2 easy coats it was very hard to get the brush strokes to not take over. I can see them in the pictures and no matter how careful I was they were there. Soon as I thought I fixed it, it just messed up another part. Ekk!
Overall I feel like this is an interesting mix of best sellers. There are definitely some can depend on your skin tone, and others that are either good or bad. It was interesting to see these all being in the best sellers of Essie. Definitely a few I wouldn't of thought! If you would like to see me compare any of these to other polishes let me know because I think there are some in here that I have dupes for. Also we could then talk whats best for the price! :) I hope you all enjoyed this post and the video! I will see y'all back here on Monday!
