China Glaze Glam Finale Collection

Hello there guys! How are you? Its now officially December so I am done easing into Christmas. From here on out it should be full force! Ha, and today we are starting with my swatches of the new China Glaze Glam Finale collection. 😀

China Glaze Toast It Up

Toast it Up
2 coat(s)

A pearly/frosty gold.

China Glaze Toast It Up

The name on this one it kinda perfect. I totally get the toasty vibe. The formula itself was easy to use, yet at the same time it was brush stroke-y. I think you can easily see that in the photos. With my nails being quite curved those types on things are really noticeable. That all being said the coverage was nice and was full coverage in just 2 coats.

China Glaze Big Hair and Bubbly

Big Hair & Bubbly (Topper)
1-2 coat(s)

A micro golden glitter topper.

China Glaze Big Hair and Bubbly

Here we have the gold glitter topper of this collection on top of Toast it up. This topper is really nice. The a smaller glitter compared to most CG golden toppers which is a nice change. I feel like the glitters spread out nicely too and didn't require any extra work.

China Glaze As Good as it Glitz

As Good as it Glitz
2 coat(s)

A pink toned silver foil.

China Glaze As Good as it Glitz

This one is quite different.  I like it a lot in these photos actually. Its a pink toned silver than has a really nice foil like formula. It is easy to work with in some circumstances. In this case for photos and video I did it on my naked nails. They aren't too ridges so I didn't have an issue with that. However at first it looks brush stroke-y. However this dries down and the stroke-y spots fade. Now my mom liked it so we put it on with base coat and it was weird. It was like it just wanted to glide off the base coat. We even tried two different kinds and both cases were like that. Super strange. I think in the past tho when there have been polishes with this foil like look released they do usually suggest no base coat. I always use base coat for any polish I am wearing for any period of time and not just a few minutes for pictures.

China Glaze New Year, New Boo

New Year, New Boo
1-2 coat(s)

A bold and vibrant indigo.

China Glaze New Year, New Boo

The formula on this one is great! Basically full coverage in just one coat. I did mine at what I consider a normal thickness and I was happy with one coat. That being said if you do your coats super thin you will need probably at least 2 coats. This just covered so well and is such a stunning rich color.

China Glaze Disco Ball Drop

Disco Ball Drop(Topper)
1-2 coat(s)

A holographic chunky silver glitter.

China Glaze Disco Ball Drop

This topper is so fun! The glitters came out nice and evenly for me. I know some don't like this type of topper, and often I am one of those but there is just something so special about this one. It reminds me so much of China Glaze Techo which I used up years ago when I first got in to polish. This however I would say packs more glitter in one coat. TIP: If you are having issues of getting the larger glitters out and on to your nails... Set the bottle upside down before using! That should help bring the larger glitters to the brush area!

China Glaze Queen of Sequins

Queen of Sequins
2 coat(s)

A deep eggplant/cranberry toned shade with various shimmers throughout.

China Glaze Queen of Sequins

Such an interesting one. At first I thought it was going to be hard to use. The first coat was very sheer and gave off a weird brown shade. However the second coat brought it to full coverage AND made it this fun eggplant like shade filled with warm glitters. The formula was nice and it surprised me actually!

China Glaze Slay Bells Ring

Slay Bells Ring
1-2 coat(s)

A gun metal charcoal shade.

China Glaze Slay Bells Ring

Such a lovely polish. Perfect for metallic lovers. This one covers really nicely too. 1-2 coats depending on thick you do your coats and you are good to go. You do have to be a bit mindful of your brush on your last coat. If you aren't careful you can get brush strokes.

China Glaze Santas Side Chick

Santas Side Chick
1-2 coat(s)

A matte sparkly red.

China Glaze Santas Side Chick

First impressions of this matte... LOVE IT! After wearing it.... Nope, not doing this again. Color wise/idea wise I love this polish. Its the perfect red with the fun shimmer in it yet when matte it looks like Christmas velvet. The formula was great. It didn't dry to fast when applying it so I got it all on and had time to make sure it was all smooth before it was done drying. That all being said the after effects are not with it.

China Glaze Santas Side Chick

Here it is with a Shiny top coat.

This polish stains, which I am really sad about. In the above picture if you look at my ring finger and thumb you can see yellowing. Those nails were the ones I had this red on. (For an upcoming nail art post) I did have base coat on but it really didn't seem to matter. This was after about 24 hours of wear.

China Glaze Sparkle On

Sparkle On
1-2 coat(s)

A red jelly based polish filled with chunky red glitters.

China Glaze Sparkle On

This polish is so pretty. Its a red jelly jam packed with red glitters. I mean what is not to like. So when I got this I was super excited because I saw others that had used it and it looked great just like it does here. However mine looks like this in basically one coat. I believe my polish was from a bad batch so I'm not going to say this polish is bad. Mine was just super goopy as you can see in todays Youtube Video which made it very hard to work with. Other videos I have seen show this being nice and easy to work with so that is why I think this one may just be a bad bottle. That all being said if you are looking to buy this polish.... Do it in person. Don't order online. Go somewhere where you can open the bottle and check it out first.

China Glaze Don't be a Snowflake

Don't be a Snowflake
3 coat(s)

An off white jelly based polish filled with chunky holographic glitters.

China Glaze Don't be a Snowflake

I think this is my favorite in the collection! Soon as I saw this in the press release I was so excited. Why? I really don't know but there is just something so wintery about it. Kind of like a snow globe! Its a milky white based jelly with basically the glitters from Disco Ball Drop. Its just so fun! The formula on this one was so much more manageable than the other jelly. It was very sheer and it took about 3 coats for this amount of coverage. Originally I thought, Oh I can put it on white and not do as many coats. That was a great idea and all but I tried it and didn't like it nearly as much. It didn't give you the same depth. I a may try it on grey but still you aren't going to get those glitter layers unless you do at least 2 coats on another shade. However if you are doing 2 coats on another polish you might as well just do 3 coats go this because you would still be doing 3 coats of polish.

China Glaze They Perfect Holly-day

The Perfect Holly-Day
1-2 coat(s)

A perfect shimmery evergreen matte.

China Glaze They Perfect Holly-day

While this polish is lovely and had a nice formula... I has a few issues with it drying a bit fast which resulted in some weird lines which I am sure you see. Then on top of that I decided to wear  this for about a full 24 hours with base coat and well everything I felt about this polish changed.

China Glaze They Perfect Holly-day

Here it is with a shiny top coat.

After wearing if for a day with base coat, I took it off and was welcomes with this. I think this is honestly the worst nail staining I have ever dealt with. It was so bad and it did not want to come off. If you follow me on IG you may of seen me chat about it on my story because I really just felt like I need to show you guys. Plus I tried a million different ways of removing the stain and kind of documented it there. So thanks to those of you who came along on that long journey. In the end it didn't all come off and even in my video you can still see the staining. Still today on my nails I can see it, so its such a long lasting stain. After all of that said and done I will not be wearing this polish again. I loved the color and how it looked but I did not love how my nails looked afterwards soooo....

China Glaze Teal the Fever

Teal the Fever (Topper)
1-2 coat(s)

A lovely turquoise glitter topper with some green glitters in there as well.

Here is Teal The Fever on top of The Perfect Holly-Day (this was what I had on exactly when I ended up with the stain that I just talked about.) The topper was really nice. I feel like it covered evenly and I love the little bit of green that pops in it.

China Glaze Glam Finale Live Swatches

Well guys that is it for today! I hope you have enjoyed this post and hopefully it also has informed you about a few of the polishes. I had intentions to get this up earlier this week but I had to delay filming because I didn't want to film with such badly stained nails.

All of these polishes are available now online and in stores such as Ulta, and Sallys. Below you can find links to all of the different China Glaze social channels you might want to follow along on to stay up to date on all things China Glaze.

  1. Awwan, staining is so terrible. I have some now so and it's making me sad. I doubled up on base coat. Love that deep blue!

    1. Yeah I think that polish will end up on the back of my self and not be pulled out that often!

  2. New Year, New Boo is probably my favorite, and I also love Don't Be A Snowflake. I'm disappointed that The Perfect Holly-Day stains so badly though, it's such a pretty forest green.

  5. Literally the three colors I love, stain or have awful formulas. Thanks for your super honest review. You saved me some moolah.

  6. New Year, New Boo is gorgeous. And I'm glad to hear it has a better formula than others in the collection. I wonder if it would work well for stamping since you were able to get away with 1 coat?

  7. I’ve never seen polishes stain so badly!!!! I’m almost nervous to wear them myself now.

  8. It sucks that you had such bad staining! I've definitely had that happen before, I think my nails are prone to stain and they're permanently yellow by now. Your swatches were gorgeous, though!
