Digital Dozen | My Home Day 2 | Christmas In Florida

Hey guys! So I'm SOO excited about these nails! I haven't seen anything like them before so I'm excited to share them and explain it. So the city that I consider to be home is surrounded by waterways. They are so pretty during this time of year too. People decorate their boat docks, and their boats! Which leads me to a fun event we have gone to in the past years, Christmas Boat Parades!

Christmas boat parades are so much fun. You get to go sit by the water in sweaters and ya know sometimes an extra blanket and watch boats go by decked out in lights and little Christmas scenes, plus some of them even have synchronized music. Its pretty great! Oh and I'm not exaggerating when I say you need an extra blanket or sweatshirt. Even though Florida is warm, and we still have warm winters, when that sun goes down it gets chilly and then you add the water being right there is can get frigid real quick! ;)

Hopefully you can tell I tried to paint different types of boats decked out for the Holidays. My favorite one is the sail boat that has used its mass to create a Christmas tree. Oh and the one that looks like a lighthouse because the last boat parade we went to was near the lighthouse so it seemed fitting!

To create this look I started off with a light blue, this one is called Peek-a-Blue by Heroine NYC. The rest was them done with acrylic paint. I wanted to try and put it at more nighttime but I also wanted the boats so show so this is what I came up with!
