Glitter Placement Nail Art

Hello and welcome back! The weather here was soooo nice yesterday so I've really wanted happy nails to match. Now that we are over the whole pink and red phase for Valentines day I thought I would some purple nails and play with some glitters. Which I am guessing  you can already tell from the title that this means its time for some glitter placement looks!

First up I have actually filmed how I did one of the glitter placements. I was thinking it would take forever but it wasn't that bad actually so I went ahead and filmed it after testing it on a few other nails. Above you can see these flower nails? Grape Nails? come together and see how I did it. :)

So as I think I said in the video, I started this idea by thinking, flowers. I was going to make a floral glitter placement. Turned out that they don't really look like flowers. They kind of have more of a grape appearance. Ha! I would totally love to know what you see? Grapes or Flowers? Granted its not often we see holo versions of either of those things but I mean I'll take it! :)

For the polish base I used Zoya Haruko from the new Thrive collection they just released for spring. I talked about it and reviews it earlier this week here. I have to say the thiner you do the coats for this polish the better off you are. Its a gorgeous polish, and I'm gonna be grabbing for it this spring for sure! :) Ahhh, spring!

I will have to say this mani is very hard to see. Like that holo is so strong in all types of lighting that it can really just make it tricky. Pictures are even trickier! Ah, but oh so fun to wave back and fourth in the light. Well not like I do that often, eh who am I kidding yes I do!

I think since it was so hard to capture in photos thats why there is an abundance of them in this post, all showing various views.

Now moving on to the simpler look. Yes there are more glitters but hey these you can place more "willy nilly" to get a decent look because that holo is just so distracting from the placements lol!!! Polish wise I used Zoya Landon from the Party Girls collection!

I needed to like bring all the nails together so I tried to frame them with the glitters and I kinda really like that. It was a bit tricky on the corners so they are super close since I didn't want to give any reasons for snagging. Now we should talk about the glitters! They are both from Dimension Nails and they are the perfect size for placing. The purple one is called Good Vibrations and the green is called Limelight. Both are holo glitter so they are amazing!

I used the lil rhinestone picker upper to place all of them. You could easily use a small dotting tool, even a mechanical pencil tip! Anything you can dampen to get the glitters to pick up! :) Well guys that is it for today! I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and I hope you have enjoyed todays video as well! :) It was a fun one! Also I have some really fun video ideas coming soon to you so if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them! I am even going to tackle the whole Topic Tuesday video tag thing! I may not post them on Tuesday's but.... I'm kind of excited about it, kinda nervous. Ha, I'm not one to usually sit in front of Camera for a photo let alone sit and talk and film! Eppp, but its new and exciting too so I'm excited. Hope I won't scare y'all! I am thinking about doing a Q&A too, so if you have anything for a Q&A video and or a blog post let me know below!

Happy Friday!

  1. I totally see grapes in the first one!

In the second one, I really love how you outlined your nails - I know it's a lot of work but it looks super elegant.

  6. I also love the first mani most, but the second shade is pretty too. I can't believe you picked up and placed every single one of those glitter pieces individually. I'm in awe of your skills
