China Glaze Shades of Paradise Collection

Hello and welcome back! I hope you week is off to a good start, today I am very excited to show you swatches of the brand new China Glaze Summer 2018, Shades of Paradise Collection. It consists of 12 gorgeous new polishes ranging from vibrant cremes, neon shimmers and even a holographic, yep you read that right! ;) Now lets check them out!

China Glaze All Sun & Games

All Sun & Games (Matte)
2 coat(s)

Fiery neon orange shimmer.

China Glaze All Sun & Games

This is a nice neon orange even though orange isn't my color. This is a matte polish which makes the formula a bit different. The first coat is a bit streaky and it starts to dry pretty quick so you want a minimal amount of strokes on that first coat.

China Glaze All Sun & Games

The second coat really fixes all of the patchy streaky spots which is really nice, and the color is complete in that second coat as well. As for its matte look the camera did not want to focus at all.

China Glaze All Sun & Games

So due to that to get the camera to focus and to make the sparkle appear I have a shiny top coat on.

China Glaze Tropic of Conversation

Tropic of Conversation (Matte)
2 coat(s)

Orange Coral shimmer.

China Glaze Tropic of Conversation

The coral version of the first polish! Its really a pretty version of a coral but I will say it does pull a bit more orange than most corals.

China Glaze Tropic of Conversation

Formula wise its about the same as All Sun & Games. A little patchy on the first coat but the second one evened it all up!

China Glaze Tropic of Conversation

The shimmer within the polish is really pretty and it shows really well.

China Glaze I'll Sand By You

I'll Sand by You
2 coat(s)

Beige with a golden sheen.

China Glaze I'll Sand By You

This is like the perfect sandy color. Within the bottle you see a golden shimmer but on the nail its sadly no where to be seen. Even though that is the case it does look really nice on the nail.

China Glaze I'll Sand By You

It is one that before buying you should probably check it out on your skin tone because it probably will not work on all. I was actually surprised it worked for me.

China Glaze Water-falling In Love

Water-falling in Love
3 coat(s)

Sky Blue Milky Creme.

China Glaze Water-falling In Love

I love this color, I think it the perfect sky creme. However I was not a fan of the formula, I feel like it was milky and runny. Now the runny part may fix it self over time the more I have the bottle open but I think the milky part will always be there which is ok it just will take more coats.

China Glaze Water-falling In Love

It took me about 3 coats to get it all even, I suppose some nails may be ok in 2 coats but for the majority I think all will need 3.

China Glaze Stop Beachfrontin

Stop Beachfrontin'
2 coat(s)

A cool toned purple creme.

China Glaze Stop Beachfrontin

This is such a nice purple, bright and happy with such a nice cremes formula and it almost covers in just one coat. Like its that good! Plus it also has a such shiny finish even pre top coat.

China Glaze Stop Beachfrontin

So very glossy and I love it.

China Glaze Boujee Board

Boujee Board (Matte)
2 coat(s)

Purple pulling more magenta creme.

China Glaze Boujee Board

This is so pretty and has a nice formula for a matte finish polish. I will say that the matte look of this polish would not photograph but you can see it dry as I paint in the swatch video.

China Glaze Boujee Board

As you can see though the shiny top coat really makes it look very nice and glossy.

China Glaze Kiki in out Tiki

Kiki in out Tiki
2 coat(s)

Bold Red Orange creme.

China Glaze Kiki in out Tiki

This is such a great formula and again it has a super shiny finish. Its also really close to being full coverage in just 1 coat but the 2nd one makes any see through spots blend right in and deepen the color to build to the bottle color.

China Glaze Kiki in out Tiki

Its a red but I will note that it does pull a bit more orange.

China Glaze Mer-maid for Bluer Waters

Mer-Maid for Bluer Waters
2 coat(s)

Shimmering Ocean Blue.

China Glaze Mer-maid for Bluer Waters

I love this polish! Its seriously stunning and has an amazing formula. It covered in just 2 coats and came out to a gorgeous finish.

China Glaze Mer-maid for Bluer Waters

You do need to be a bit mindful of brush strokes but really they tend to even out especially with top coat on.

China Glaze Ma-holo at Me

Ma-holo at Me
2 coat(s)

Light Blue Holographic.

China Glaze Ma-holo at Me

A mainstream just pulled off a holo! Ahh, I am kind of obsessed with this one. Its really a great holo and so rare to see done in a main stream seasonal collection.

China Glaze Ma-holo at Me

It also has a fabulous formula and its so easy to use.

China Glaze Ma-holo at Me

Its also like the perfect summer polish for ocean/pool water! Ahhhh!

China Glaze Cabana Fever

Cabana Fever (Matte)
2 coat(s)

A bright white creme.

China Glaze Cabana Fever

This one is my least favorite one in all honesty. Its a decent formula but the matte part of it dries really fast, and faster than any of the others polishes so I just wasn't thrilled.

China Glaze Cabana Fever

I got full coverage in in 2 coats but I wasn't thrilled with how it looked on in matte form. Meaning it seemed a lil lumpy. However with a shiny top on it it looked fine!

China Glaze Don't be Sea Salty

Don't Be Sea Salty (Matte)
2 coat(s)

Neon pink with shimmer.

China Glaze Don't be Sea Salty

The one I could actually get to photo in a matte finish. Its such a bright and bold pink. Its really lovely and you get so much shimmer that is kind a lavender flash.

China Glaze Don't be Sea Salty

Of course it does look great matte but I love it most shiny. What do you think? Lets look at it up close.

China Glaze Can't Sandal This

Can't Sandal This
2 coat(s)

Pink/Salmon Creme.

China Glaze Can't Sandal This

I love this one! One of my faves and its just the perfect salmony pink and it had such a nice formula.

China Glaze Can't Sandal This

Its another one of the super shiny finishes one so once you add that top coat it really has a lasting glossy finish!

China Glaze Shades of Paradise Collection

Thats a wrap! These polish should be available within the Month of May at your local Sallys Beauty and or Ulta. If you can not find them in person they are available online now on Sallys and Ulta as well. :) If you scroll to the very end you will find a polish guide for the collection! Its such a fun collection!

  4. I wonder why I never see salons with China Glaze. These shades are prettier than a lot of the OPI and Essie ones I've seen lately.

  8. I really like those with the different finishes, the holo and Don't be Sea Salty. I know a couple of the others had the flakes too, but I think they look best in the pink!
