Hey there! Hope you all had a very nice weekend! Ours was filled with yummy food being a holiday weekend and all so yeah I need to work on this quickly so I can go get that workout in! Ha, no really though! Anywhooo they other day my Mom and I popped into Ulta and found 2 gorgeous Essences polishes we just had to take home. So I thought I would just swatch them for you and show off their beautifulness!
So of course I also filmed it because seeing these polishes in a video format is a must. I mean just trust me you need to check out the shifts! Its amazing.

A pink based golden flecked polish with shifts at certain angles that pull blue/purple.
First off this was the first time in a long time that I had used Essence polish and can I just say... I was really impressed with the brush and formula. I mean really, the brush was just so very nice to work with I kind of loved it.
The formula of this polish was amazing too. It just went on so smoothly and evenly, I was just so happy with it and impressed. These polishes retail for $2.99 at Ulta so I mean you never know what to expect but this right here is a high quality polish!
If you guys saw my Nails Inc Post for the Mermaid Duo here then you might remember Ocean Ever After (one of my now all time fave polishes) well this polish formula wise and finish wise is so similar and dreamy. I just love it!

A deep navy teal with a purple blue shift.
This polish is so shifty and amazing on the nails! It had a wonderful formula and as you can see it has a lot going on in it. I took so many pics to try and get both the blue and purple in the photo so get ready for many macro shots!
This is a pretty good representation of the purple I would say! Its really gorgeous and I have nothing by good to day!
And the blue/tealish phase. I am just so very impressed with these polishes and I am so happy we picked them up!
And here it shows a bit of both! What do you think? I am just amazed at how much I love these polishes, how great they are and I'm so happy my Ulta stepped up with Essence supply Woohooo!
So since these polishes are from the Out of Space Stories collection I thought it would be fun to share a lil "space" related story of my own! Hehe, I actually had one that came to mind right away. Ok so lets set the scene.... I'm in middle school, we didn't live in Florida yet and it was the Friday of a normal weekend. Nothing special was happening whatsoever ever it was just your traditional 2 day weekend. Then it was brought up that they (NASA I suppose) was/were launching the Endeavor in Florida and it was going to be one of the last ones to be launched from there. We had family that lived about 4 hours away form the launch so very last minute we decided to drive what like 12 or 16 hours to FL to stay night (maybe 2, I have slept since then) there, then drive 4 more hours to watch the launch (SUPER early in the morning) and then head home. Just like that on a random weekend, Ha, I ended up missing that Monday of school I believe so on that Tuesday I had to ask for my makeup work and a teacher asked where I was and I told her, but she didn't believe me. She was like, well wouldn't you have planned for that and asked me for work ahead of time, I said nope we just decided on the weekend. LOL! I really don't think she believed me. Kinda funny but it was true, spur of the moment decided to go spend a weekend in Florida to see a rocket launch.
Anyone else have a fun Out of Space Story to share?! Haha, well that is it for today! I hope you enjoyed seeing these polishes and maybe even enjoyed the story that was real! Hehe!

PS We no longer have to do that, if we want to see something launch its like 2 hours, but in reality if its a clear day we can just go to the beach.
DH and I once saw a night launch of a shuttle from the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Even though it was miles and miles away, we could see the flame trail quite well in the sky.
ReplyDeleteNo space story for me, this is a nice set. Scape Glam is soo pretty.,
ReplyDeleteSpace Glam is hands down my favorite! So shimmery and glittery!
ReplyDeleteI used to pretend I was an astronaut when I was a kid...does that count? lol I just saw some of these polishes at Ulta and almost grabbed a couple but I decided to be good and I put them back. Now I am regretting it.
ReplyDeleteIntergalactic Adventure is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo is this whole Essence collection a dupe for the Nails Inc stuff? I saw the pair at Ulta that were a dead-on dupe for the Unicorn duo.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun! Glad essence is bringing out fun new polishes
ReplyDeleteIntergalactic Adventure is awesome! And how fun to take a spontaneous trip like that. :)
