Star Wars Nail Art | May the 4th be with You

Star Wars Nail Art

Hello and Happy May 4th the unofficial Star Wars holiday. I will just start this off by saying I don't know much about Star Wars, I do live with people that love it though and every year May comes around and I always see fun Star Wars nail art and I always wish I had planned ahead so I could be in on the fun themed nail art and guess what?! This year I planned! So today I have a fun Star Wars Inspire mani and not only that but I also have a video up to go with and a special guest in the video! Talk about fun!

First things first, you can probably (hopefully) tell that I was trying to paint BB8. A few years ago I painted R2D2 nails so I thought I need to change it up. So for this mani I looked at various pictures of BB8 and tried to paint him the best I could!

He was 100% Freehanded as you can tell I think and you can actually see him come together in todays Youtube Video too! I usually can't film detailed looks like these but I did and I'm so happy. Personally I love watching detailed nail art come together. Even when I know there is no way in the world I could pull it off I love watching it. That being said I do think these are fairly simple to do. I was so intimidated at the start though so thats totally normal! LOL

Here we have a closer look, the details are far from perfect but it all from a distance looks about right which is the main goal I think?! Ha, what do you think.

So in todays video I added a lil fun intro that is different than normal. I have my brother back, and this time he is introducing the mani with a fitting opening screen! At least I think its fitting, so be sure to pop on over there and check it out, I am really happy with how it came out.

Polish wise I used Zoya Jack which is from the new Summer Sunshine Collection. Also side note because my brain works the way it does.... Every time I say/type the name of that polish I start singing THIS song called Jack by The Vamps. Its such a fun and kind sassy song I love it. Moving on now... :) The orange is China Glaze Pilates Please! from their Spring Collection Chic Physique. I believe I used Zoya Willa as my black.

For the whole May 4th nail was so kid of make glowy letters like they were light sabers, and according to the Star Wars aficionados I know blue is the acceptable color to go with BB8! LOL, really though I did go ask them to make sure I was ok. Also I had them approve the BB8 nail! Well that is it for this fun lil different Friday blog post! Hope you enjoyed this, I know I had a blast creating it. Let me know if you are doing anything fun this weekend!? Its Cinco De Mayo tomorrow which means Homemade Crunch Wraps, yummmm I can't wait!

Happy Friday!
