Hello there! Welcome back, today I have a ton to share with you. Ok not a literal ton but how about 6 different nail art looks for the 4th of July PLUS a video to show you how to create 3 of the manis shown in this post. I'm super excited to show them to you and boy do I have a lot of photos to share as well so lets get into it! All of these are new designs for 2018 just so you know! :)
1. The Festive Abstract
This has to be one of the most satisfying low maintenance nail looks ever. Its so easy, doesn't require any tools (I did use a dotting tool but really a tooth pick would suffice), imperfect is perfect, its quick and you can do it whats any colors!
This how to is actually in todays video so I won't go into details but very easy and quick! I love this type of design, not sure why but I do!
I used....
Salon Perfect - Pillow Talk (White)
Salon Perfect - The American Sheen (Red)
Salon Perfect - Freedom Foil (Silver)
Salon Perfect - National Holi-YAY! (Blue)
Salon Perfect - Star Spangled Selfie (Glitter)
2. Fourth of July Tie Dye
Who doesn't love a fun lil tie dye mani. Now this design does take a bit more time, so I don't do it on ALL of my nails but I have in years past. This time though I wanted to use nail polish so I did, and just made it a fun accent nail which cuts down on time.
This one was really fun to wear because all of my nails were different colors and I haven't done that in awhile!
I used....
Salon Perfect - Pillow Talk (White)
Salon Perfect - The American Sheen (Red)
Salon Perfect - Freedom Foil (Silver)
Salon Perfect - Sea to Shimmery Sea (Blue)
3. Floral for the Fourth!
Sometimes you just want to be festive and girly right? For some reason when I think of red white and blue I not only think of the fourth of July but I also think about flowers. Not sure why exactly but I do. I think its possibly due to the fact that a few years ago The Fresh Market had really pretty Fourth of July flowers and I did nails based off of them then and that has stuck with me.
This time though I made them to be even more basic flowers than the ones I am thinking about. I also feature how you can get this design in todays video because its another one that is rather quick and simple.
I used....
Salon Perfect - Pillow Talk (White)
Salon Perfect - The American Sheen (Red)
Salon Perfect - Freedom Foil (Silver)
Salon Perfect - National Holi-YAY! (Blue)
Salon Perfect - Star Spangled Selfie (Glitter)
4. Patriotic Color Blocking
Ahhh so I had a fun idea for these, like I was going to end up putting in fun lil Patriotic Doodles, however I got to this stage and was super happy with it, so I left it! This was all free handed, but this is the type of look you could do it with tape.
I started with acrylic paint to get the color bases in and then topped those with the glitter polishes. I based it all with white polish and then if that allowed me to be able to clean up any lil imperfections with white acrylic paint.
I used....
Salon Perfect - Pillow Talk (White)
Salon Perfect - Firewerk (Red Glitter)
Salon Perfect - Freedom Foil (Silver)
Salon Perfect - National Holi-YAY! (Blue Glitter)
5. Scribble Filled Fourth of July
Remember when you were little and scribbled all over a piece of paper and then filled in little sections? Well I do and when I saw THIS mani I knew I just had to recreate and modify it for the fourth.
This one I used white polish as my base and then the rest of the acrylic paint because I just found it easier to work with for this design since it was a tad more tedious.
I used....
Salon Perfect - Pillow Talk (White)
acrylic paint
5. Fourth of July Drip Marble
When you see a bunch of patriotic polishes and don't have any ideas as to what to do and then you turn around and see your cool whip lid that you use for drip marbles you must then make a drip marble!
I wasn't thrilled with how all of the nails turned out, but the thumb I did quite like! What do you think? I feel like drip marbles are always a catch 22, sometimes you like them, sometimes you don't. This time I feel like it was somewhere in the middle!
I used....
Salon Perfect - Pillow Talk (White)
Salon Perfect - The American Sheen (Red)
Salon Perfect - Freedom Foil (Silver)
Salon Perfect - National Holi-YAY! (Blue Glitter)
Salon Perfect - Firewerk (Red Glitter)
Salon Perfect - Sea to Shimmer Sea (Blue)
Here is the video for 3 of the looks featured in todays blog post! I had SO much fun working on all of these designs and putting together this video. Hope you guys enjoy it too!
Happy Painting!

All of these designs are so pretty. I find that Salon Perfect always puts out nice polishes that you can use for the 4th. A few years ago they had really awesome glitters for the 4th.
