Sweetpeas Picks Vol. 4

Sweetpeas Picks Vol 4

Its been a fun and very busy so time for a catch up! Also how weird was it to have a holiday in the middle of the week!?

1. I have always loved the ocean but this week spending even more time with it I just love it, and it literally genuinely makes me so happy. Anyone else feel this way about the ocean? I feel like it and music combined create a great day. Plus when I come back from a beach day it just makes me want to write all of the things!

2. I've been so busy this week and feel like I'm so out of routine. I've not been watching Youtube as much, painting as much, reading as much. Its been weird but also nice, yet also I miss is so much too. So as of the moment I am writing this I am getting back to business! Ha!

3. However I did watch a few videos this week. The latest Cocktail Chats video here of course because apparently I now really like 5SOS. Then I also really enjoyed watching Erin's Q&A + Face Reveal here from NailsByErin. One of my blogging/Youtube internet friends! So happy for her!

4. Ok so I actually still love getting emails from bloggers, I know many kinda just shrug at the idea of   more emails but I have a few bloggers I love getting emails from. I get ones from Jessica Merchant, How Sweet Eats, and its bad because  I then want to make everuhings lol! This week her Strawberry Cobbler Bars are calling my name. Definitely going to have to make them!

5. Ok, its only expected of me to talk about music right?! Well I literally listen to all types, well maybe no all like rap, or classical....but..... I do listen to Twenty One Pilots and last year in the realm of social media and such they feel off the grid, and apparently they've slightly resurfaced with a cryptic email? Billboards had a thing about it and Its kinda cool. Read it here. A few months ago I read this whole thing about how they changed their social media graphic, covered CD's differently in stores, left hints in random Instagram accounts that led people to youtube clips and it was kinda really cool. Like 1. That took some planning. 2. A whole year to build it all up?!?! 3. It got so deep with people researching and I really hope its all true just because well WOW, talk about neat. I didn't read the FULL research article but what I did was just kinda cool, and we should find out if its all true, or even a tad true on the 13th, Friday the 13th! LOL

6. I did a lot of adventuring this past week, and took so many photos. I loved getting back to more photography beyond nails. The picture in the top of this post was taken at a State Park I hadn't been too in a while, Like 2 years so it had been through 2 hurricanes. It looked really pretty. The beach side of it we didn't get to adventure too tho because it was closed for debris clean up from Irma. I think a lot forget thats still an ongoing thing for many people. Sad but true. That area we actually hadn't been too since Matthew and it was very interesting to see how things had changed. We did manage to get to another beach in that area and it was really fun to explore!

7. So Shark week is coming up soon and Live Love Polish has a collection out for it and its really pretty! Check it out here. The fact that they are thermals makes it even more fun!

8. So I've always loved Paulina's Passions on Instagram and have followed her blog for a long time. For some reason though I haven't been on her actual blog in a bit and revisited it this weekend and oh my its lovely! Like I just love it, you must check it out right now HERE.

9. Ok so Alicia from The Base Coat posted THIS video on Youtube of how to do a really neat marble with a brush and I'm kinda dying to try it! She hows 2 different ways in the video and I've been doing the first way but the second is now on my list to try ASAP! :)

10. Last thing I want to chat about is.... Art. So I've been really enjoying creating watercolor art and sharing on Instagram as you will see here, here,  and here. I think I kind of want to make it a thing. It kinda goes hand in hand with nail art right?!

Well y'all that is it! I hope you had a fabulous week/weekend. I feel like it was a super weird fragmented week since we had a holiday in the middle of the week, you? I didn't talk about it earlier but we went downtown for fireworks and they were great as always! Then the next night we went out to eat on the water way that takes you to cities that are further south, and it was neat because a massive barges, 2 actually, went by that must of been in another city for fireworks the night before to shoot fireworks off of. It was kinda cool. :) Both of the cities I am between have "water" centered skylines so all fireworks that are professionally done are shot off from barges in the water. Kinda super cool!
