Hey there everyone! Hope you are having a nice day. :) Today I have a fun collection to show you from China Glaze, its the Sesame Street You Do Hue collection. Overall I just really enjoyed this collection, and feel like it was just really well rounded. Lots of color, variation, and nice formulas, so lets check it all out.
Living in the Elmo-ment
2 coats
A red crelly with a scattered holo micro glitter.
This is a very pigmented jelly like polish so it covers really quickly in 2 easy coats. The formula was excellent, and I really just loved and enjoyed this as a red polish. Such a nice look, on and will make for a great Christmas polish. Yep I said it.
Fur Real Though
2 coats
A hot berry pink neon.
Yes, this is perfect! Its bright, its pink, and its a neon which I LOVE. This is such a nice berry shade of pink, and it had a fabulous formula. It covered perfect in two coats for me.
Monsterpiece
2 coats
A pink scattered holo.
If you are looking for a pink scattered holo with a really nice shimmer, look no further. This polish is just that and has an excellent formula. Its such a nice shade of pink too, it was so easy to apply, and looks just lovely on.
I Count Even...
3 coats
A sheer lavender.
Ok, so lets chat about this one for a minute. As you can see with 3 coats you can still see through to my nail with this polish. Some may consider this a jelly polish, but in all honestly I'm not even sure it would be great for a jelly polish, its just not that pigmented. So, that being said, in my opinion I would consider this polish to be a perfector. More of a polish you use for color correction if you are wanting to to a French manicure. Granted I wouldn't use 3 coats, but one this coat is going to be great for correcting nail bed discoloration, and help create a great base for a french mani.
Ah Ah Ah-mazing
2 coats
A pearly lavender chrome.
This color and idea is just lovely. Sadly though, its tends to show any flaw you may have on your nail. If a nail is peeling or had an unfortunate experience with a cheese grater you are going to see that flaw through this polish. Also if tends to show brush strokes, so you have to be very mindful and careful while applying. One way to avoid that issue would be to sponge on the final coat. All of that being said, it is a really pretty polish and covers really nicely in 2 coats. Its really just going to come down to your desired look you want from it as to if it will work for you or not.
Grover It
2 coats
A bright navy love with a metallic feel plus a scattered holo.
Ok I love a bright navy. Ok bright and navy aren't quite words that go together, but I think you know what I mean. Its a navy that doesn't look black lol! :) This one has a slight metallic feel, and the has a scattered holo, and it's just lovely. Looks perfect in 2 coats.
Dat Color Dough
3 coats
A clear based polish with a blue microglitter, and a silver micro glitter here and there.
This polish has a clear base in it so its most certainly a polish that can be used as a topper. That considered, if you want to do 3 coats you can get this very full and glittery look, which lets me honest, is super fun! Its a very packed polish so lots of glitter with each coat.
Free To Be Sesame
2 coats
An emerald green with a scattered holo, and green glitter.
I'm loving this bright evergreen green. Its like a Christmas Tree on a sunny day! Ha! :) I just love it, perfect formula, full coverage in 2 coats, and all of the holo is just lovely. All around a fabulous polish.
Trash Can-Do Attitude
2 coats
A light green metallic with a golden shifty sheen.
The formula on this polish was exceptional. Very nice and easy to apply, a strong golden shift that is super easy to see, and just looks lovely. I thought this was going to have brush strokes, but really it was perfect, and any I thought I had, disappeared when it dried.
Ernie Your Stripes
2 coats
An orange shimmer with gold.
Ok this is a pretty orange. So pretty with its scattered bigger shimmer, and I just actually loved it. Very sunset-y! Who am I?! Me liking an orange. :) This is crazy! Plus it has a nice easy to use formula, so all around, a great polish.
I Believe in Snuffy
2 coats
A light peachy orange with a metallic like appearance with a shimmer.
Ok I love this! Not my traditional type of polish to like, but is so pretty, has a lovely formula. Perfect in 2 coats, and I just love how shimmer/sparkly it is. Also this reminds me of one of the first polishes I was allowed to wear growing up, but even prettier!
Beak on Fleek!
3 coats
A big bird yellow matte polish.
Ok, if you are really wanting a Big Bird Look this polish is pretty spot on, however I wasn't a huge fan. Its too much of a mustard yellow I think, and I felt that the 3 coats were sort of patchy. This polish does dry down to a matte, which I will say, it was a decent matte formula. Just not my fave polish really, I don't mind it shiny, but I don't see myself pulling out this yellow often, especially compared to some of China Glazes other yellows.
Well everyone! Thats a wrap for this post. If you would like to see a swatch video you may HERE. These polishes are available now any where you can purchase China Glaze! Overall I feel like this was a pretty exciting collection and I really enjoyed it. Lots of color, and I feel like there is something for everyone. Hope you enjoyed it too! Let me know what shade was your favorite! :)
Talk to you Soon!

Wow my initial reaction when I saw the first image was that I wanted the orange one, but after seeing them all close up (amazing photos by the way) it made me want almost all of them! I never have polish on my nails but this made me want to start!
ReplyDeleteAs always, fantastic & realistic swatches, appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteReally love the scatter holo and the metallic polishes. My favorites are the green holo and metallic. I have to find these.
