Hey y'all! Hope you are having a nice week so far! I am super excited about today's post because once again I did something out of the norm for me and ii am actually thrilled with the outcome. Are they perfect? Absolutely not. Yet I am still very proud of them and I really just want to keep trying new things I never would of attempted a week or two ago.
Today's mani is inspired by the one and only Wondrously Polished who is one of my favorite nail artists easily! Her art is always fabulous and even just her simple swatched are perfect! I love seeing her posts, they are always just so inspiringly, and honestly she is the one who started my obsession with floral nail art! Anyway.... These nautical ocean nails were originally done by her here. Mine aren't a perfect match but it actually looks similar which is like major! Haha!!
Lately I've been taking a lot more risks with nail art and I have loved it! For any of you who want to try a daunting nail art design I say do it because it may turn out to be the best thing you've ever done. Just grab and inspiration picture, turn on some music and get lost in the fun art. ;)
For this look I used an older Takko Lacquer names Birthday Suit as my base which was a perfect nude color for it. The art was all free handed with acrylic paint and various brushes and dotters. :)
I really hope y'all have enjoyed these nails, I am really proud of them which really is a new thing for me!

On another subject, what do you all think of Instagram these days? Things on there just aren't the same anymore and I'm wondering sometimes if it's even relevant. It's lost its uniqueness and has kind of just become a place people post yet no one is looking or paying attention. If that makes any sense. Yesterday for those of you on Twitter I retweeted a really neat blog post about IG that I really agreed with and it was about the IG changes and how it's not the same and that made me realize. Wow, I'm not the only one thinking it's just lacking these day. I guess it all comes down to the fact it was bought out and now they are changing it and turning it into something else completely. It's sad to see it go, I mean they might as well change the name at this rate be used it's not the same Instagram we all loved.

ReplyDeleteAnd I 100% agree! You only improve by continuing to push your boundaries and challenge yourself. I've had many manis where I didn't think I could pull it off, yet somehow it works and it's so gratifying. I'm so excited for you that you're doing the same :)
