Digital Dozen | Contrasting Colors Day 1

Hello, and good morning! I hope you all had a nice weekend. :) They never seem to last long enough. Also ummm has anyone looked at the calendar?! We are scary close to Thanksgiving, and Black Friday I've already been looking at ads. :) So anyway.... Today is the start of a new Digital Dozen week. This week our theme is Contrasting Colors. At first I wasn't sure how that was going to work but after looking at it on Pinterest and at a few color wheels I'm a bit excited. Plus somehow I've kept the Christmas Theme! Eppp!!

Red and Green are opposite of each other on the Color Wheel, which just so happens to be Christmas colors so any excuse for a Christmas mani will be taken. :) The Green is Sinful colors called Exotic Green, its a 2 coater. The red is Serendipity Big Red Bow (1 coater), and the festive sparkle is Pretty Beautiful Holiday Cookie! :)

So the concept for the tree... You remember when you were little and you would fold a red or green piece of construction paper and half, then draw half of a shape on the folded edge and cut it out? Well this is what thats based off of. I remember one year my brothers and I did the color combo like I did above and made Christmas Cards. :) So that is what I was going for. I'm not too thrilled with the outcome but my idea did work, it just wasn't the best idea. Hehehe! Well loves, thats all for today! Be sure to check out everyone elses contrasting colored manis down below!

Happy Painting!
