Hey there guys! Happy Weekend, ahh so happy to have gotten through this past week. This weekend I have a post full for you! First off there is a new Paint With Me video up! Its creating the mani you see above and then in addition to that its doubling as a brush review! So lets just get a going! :)
Here is the video! I will be using only 3 brushes from Nicole Diary. I can't seem to find an exact link to the mentioned products tho! Sorry about that. Anywhoo the video will also touch upon some of the polishes, but there will be more on that on a later date! If you aren't into hearing about the products you can skip to 3:30 in the video! ;)
So here we have the brushes that were used to create this design. I love the appearance and the packaging. One of them has a bit of a tricky lid but other than that packaging and appearance is super nice. I love a brush that has some weight to it. Just makes for a nice brush.
For this Paint with Me look I used OPI Suzi without a Paddle which I know y'all can find on HB Beauty Bar. If you all are interested in snagging this one before its no longer in season you can also use 25SWEATPEAS for 15% off.
Now I think its time we talk brush matters. I am a person that totally thinks a brush can be a game changer. You can improve with a good brush. A few years ago there was a brush set I really wanted because I felt like everyone that used them was so good, and so I was hoping if I had them I would be too. So I ordered them, and oh my I was so happy. I do feel like they were my game changer. Now the reason I am telling you all that is so you will kind of get where I am coming from when we talk about these brushes.
Now for the video I just used acrylic paint with these brushes because I find it to be the most consistent paint when trying to do nail art. Plus its usually easy to work with. Sadly with these brushes nothing was working all that well. I found all of the brushes to be a but stiff. No matter how long they were in water was helping.
Now stiff isn't always bad, it can be good for using a brush for dotting, but in my opinion these were too stiff. There needs to be a happy medium and I feel like these were just too stiff. I would not suggest these brushes to anyone who already has brushes they like a lot. I was trying to think who I would suggest these too and honestly I am not sure. Obviously everyone has different tastes in brushes and such, and these would be a good starter pack but at the same time... I can't find an exact price point to really judge that upon price. For me I know my "holy grail" brushes aren't that expensive so I would still probably advise people over to those.
I feel like the lines never because as precise as I would of likes. I think mainly what was due to the brush not gliding nicely since it was a bit more stiff than most would like. That all being said I wasn't thrilled with how the mani came out but I still liked it.
Well that is it for today! I hope you have enjoyed todays post and video! I will be back soon with some more info about the Nicole Diary polishes and just more art in general! :) Be sure to go like and subscribe to my YT Channel for more videos! :)
