Hello there! Well guys, you are in for kind of a massive post today. I have swatches to share with you of the new Zoya Element Fall 2018 collection. Right now it is strictly just swatches too, no fall art. ;) I'm still living in my summer bubble as long as I can, haha! So lets get to the swatches because this collection consists of 12 brand new shades!

A steel blue with a golden/copper scattered shimmer.
Ahh this one is so pretty, and happens to be one of my favorite ones of the collection. Its so pretty and has so much going on that its hard to put into words. It reminds me of some older Zoyas that actually were key polishes in my Zoya obsession! The formula was great as expected and it covered perfectly in 2 coats.

A light neutral dusty pink with a pearly sheen to it.
This is a really pretty nice neutral shade but eh. I feel like it was kind of tricky to work with and I kind of had some issues with brush strokes appearing. No matter what I did, thin coats, thick coats, quick strokes, I still had issues with it. There is another polish with this same sort of finish in the collection but that one had no issues, so I am wondering if this one only has issues due to maybe a thicker brush? Or something like that?

A pink that pulls a bit of purple to create a pinky/purple mauve.
Ahh a classic Zoya creme with a fabulous formula and such a glossy finish. Jenna was great and its just a nice breath of fresh air for fall. Its a really nice polish, I was quite pleased.
Ruthie

A red/pink toned mauve.
Ruthie is a beauty. Its that deeper fall color that makes for a great fall shade. It pulls out some red tones that really just make it a "happy medium" polish color for fall.

A pink that pulls a tad red/coral with a muted tone but then is picked up by a golden shimmer.
I love this one! So not what I would expect in the Fall line which makes me love it. Its the perfect pink with a shimmer that pulls enough other color that kind of gives it coral tone which I love.

This is a really nice answer for a new Burgundy that pulls on the berry tones rather than reds. The formula was so good and applied perfectly.2 coat(s)

A deep red wine shade.
This is the only red red in the collection which I am happy about. Its a normal deep red wine shade that I think everyone expects in a fall collection. This isn't something majorly unique but it is a nice polish formula wise and I do think everyone needs to at least have one polish this color. Its classy fall red!

A pink toned purple.
Donnie here is a brighter one in the end of the mix. A pink toned purple that has a lovely purple that is just really nice. It has a great formula and looks lovely on.
Maeve

A real pure purple.
This is a nice one to have in the bunch as well. Its a real purple. No pulling pinks, no blues, just a real purple. This is really a nice polish and the formula was really great.

A very deep red.
Here is a SUPER deep red that from a distance will definitely look black. Its a nice version of wearing a super dark polish, and has a nice formula. The first coat does go on rather sheer but the second coat really finishes it all.

A very dark eggplant purple.
Here is your eggplant purple for the collection. Another one that from the distance will look black and really you have to be super close and in particular light to even realize that it is not black. Its formula will definitely allow you to get away with one thick coat, but if you do super thin coats you might need two but I think most will get full coverage in one coat.
Gardner

A bold cobalt based blue with magenta shimmers all throughout making it go deep purple in some light and could be considered blurple.
This is another one of my favorite polishes, this one actually might be MY fave of this collection. Its a super pretty and unique polish with the bold blue colors, but also having such a magenta shimmer gives it a purple appearance too, which gives it a blurple vibe. The formula was great and super easy to work with.
Well thats a wrap for this collection! These will be releasing on August 1st on the Zoya website here. Overall I think its a neat fall collection. The pink tones seem to be quite popular this year for fall which is kind of refreshing I think since most often you think reds and oranges so I think this is pretty neat! What about you, are you liking the more pink vibe we are seeing for Fall 2018?
Happy Painting!

I'm kind of over large collections where most of them are cremes, whether pinks or reds or oranges. I do like the two flecked shimmers, here, though.
ReplyDeleteI love these deep shades. They all look wonderful on you! Gorgeous swatches.
ReplyDeleteNeed all the cremes! Those dark vampy ones are calling to me! Beautiful swatches!
ReplyDeleteCome on Zoya, mix it up a bit! I do love Ruthie though!
ReplyDeleteIm not sure how I feel about this collection, which in itself says something since I usually love their collections immediately. I need to see more blues, greens, and fall oranges.
ReplyDeleteDevin and Gardner are really pretty and are my picks from this collection 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteI am partial to the shimmers shades, but all of them are the kind of deep, rich colors I gravitate toward every fall.
ReplyDeleteThere are some seriously gorgeous shades in this collection! Beautiful swatches.
ReplyDeleteMaryAne and Maeve are both gorgeous! I'm sad that so many are doing all pinks for fall, but there are some super pretty ones that I find myself drawn toward. I love these swatches!
