Hi guys! Welcome back to 25 Sweetpeas and welcome to possibly the largest blog post ever. January's Polish Pickup is right around the corner and this time I am one of the bloggers of the month. I have all of the info for the brands between the letters of Li-Z and Kerry of the Painted Fingertips is taking care of A-Le. Januarys PPU will start on January 4th and last until the 7th. This months theme is Mythology so lots of neat polishes to be seen, lets take a look at things and then there are more release details at the end!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer

Those Who Were Neither

2-3 Coats

A soft, milky red jelly filled with chrome and iridescent flakes in various color shifts, as well as holographic silver flakies, red/green Aurora pigment, and scattered holographic pigment.

This polish is so unique and unlike anything I have in my polish collection. It catches red, pink and gold tones most often and its has so much going on with its flakies! Its so neat! The formula is a tad thin so it can take 2-3 easy coats to get full coverage.

Fear the Unknown

Thermal

Tri-thermal that changes from neon green to grass green to dark forest green with pink/gold/green color-shifting flakes, peridot-rose color-shifting shimmer, and little blue-purple iridescent hexes.

This green is such a great real green! Makes me think of St. Patricks day actually. Its just such a nice intensity. Also the flakies sit in the polish so nicely and don't require any extra effort. This polish was ALMOST full coverage in 1 coat but the second one kinda took it to the next and final level. While the photos don't show off this ones thermal polishes I do apologize. Our weather on the nights I was working with this polish did not allow for it to change in the time limit I was also on. Even without the shift it is still a lovely polish.

Throw Caution to The Wind

Periwinkle multichrome that shifts from pink to purple to blue to teal at extreme angles, linear holo, and magenta to blue to teal to gold at extreme angles UCC flakies

This polish is stunning, applied perfectly in 2-3 coats depending on how thick of thin you apply your coats. The shimmering shift is very evident in all types of lights.

The Truth is Out There

A pale yellow to black thermal which will also react in black lights/UV/strong sunlight and turns a pale pinky purple. Packed with golds, silvers, purples and pink glitters and flakies.

This polish is really fun! The glitters are not something I expected but its a neat combo. As a thermal I only got it to really go from a Chartreuse green to a mossy green, which I like! It is a bit thin so in order to have it opaque in both thermal stages you need about 2 coats.

Moonflower Polish

Atabey

2 Coats

A dusty teal creme base with purple-blue-green aurora shimmer.

Inspiration : Taino Goddess of fresh waters, and earth.

This polish applied like a dream. Very much like a normal creme polish, and yet with a lovely purple shimmer in it. The maker also describes it as a polish that will stamp. :) It dry a little satin like, but with a shiny top coat you will get the same look as photographed.

Moonshine Mani

She Crossed the Line

2 Coats

A multichrome shifting from ruby to fuchsia to indigo to green and is freckled with orange/yellow/green chameleon flakies and sparks of red, green, and magenta.

Inspiration :  She Crossed the Line and is named after a line in the movie Serendipity where John Cusack's character is telling Kate Beckinsale's character about the story of Cassiopeia and how she angered the gods and "crossed the line."

This polish is just WOW! The shift it so perfect and shows so well and was super easy to show on camera which means you know its great in real life. The formula was great as well, applied perfectly and very even, plus I just love the Moonshine Mani brush.

MTK Designs

Monoceros

3-4 Coats
Thermal

A muted gray mauve (warmest) to periwinkle (warm) to dark dusty purple (cool); w/ micro linear holo and UCC shimmer in burgundy/copper/gold.

This one takes a few more coats than one my expect. You need about 3-4 if you want the polish opaque in both thermal changes. If you aren't then you so get it covered completely in 3 if you are ok with one of the stages showing a little nail line. This polish also has a very slight scattered holo.

Music City Beauty

Fire Bird

2-3 Coats

A blackened red jelly base with red shimmer and red to orange to gold UCC flakies.

Inspiration :  The Phoenix

This polish is so fiery, and the flakies make the polish light up. This does have a jelly like formula and it applies really nicely. It needs about 2-3 coats depending on how thick/thin you apply your coats.

Jackelope

2-3 Coats
Thermal

A soft thermal that shifts and sparkles. In it’s cold state it’s black with tons of tiny colour shifting flakies, and it’s warm state it’s a beautiful shifty pink red .

This is a thermal, that has a very slight shift. In some temps you will get a better change but more often than not its very soft as you can see in the two above photos. The shimmer and flakies in this one really make it and the sheen is very eye-catching.

Tinker Bell's Triumph

3 Coats

A spring green with both silver and gold hologaphic glitter. (Silver for her wings and gold for her hair.)

This polish goes so well with its inspiration! Before I even looked at the name and inspiration it made me think of tinker bell so that was just great. This polish is a bit of a thinner green that needs to be built up in 3 coats and then you have perfect full coverage.

Pisces

2 Coats

Pisces is a deep purple that shifts to deep blue/black with a hefty dose of super sparkly iridescent glitters, a pinch of scattered holo, and an abundance of lovely silver white stars.

This polish is so fun and perfect for its inspiration. It literally has stars in it! Its just so perfect. The formula was great and easy to work with and I personally love how all of the different elements of the polishes show through so very well.

Magic of the Moon

A delicate gray flakie crelly with copper shimmer, gold/pink/orange UCC flakies, and midnight flakies.

This polish was amazing and had such a great formula. Covered completely in 2 coats, and was close to being good in one actually. The flakies sit so nicely in it too and create a neat deep look blue the shimmer is very strong resulting it a lovely look!

A brown to red to pink tri-thermal with cyan to blue to red shimmer

This polish applied perfectly and looks great on. The teal shimmer really stands out and the pink vs purple shift it really nice. I would call this more of a pink to purple and vice a versa thermal shift.

A purple to icy blue with aqua shimmer, blue-purple ucc flake, aqua opal flakes, and scattered holo.

I really enjoyed this polish! Its a lovely thermal and the colors really compliment each other. The shade of blue it nice too and different. This polish also includes flakies and they sit in the polish really well I think, and catch the light nicely. 

Night Owl Lacquer

This is a black holographic with 4 different shades of shifting galaxy shimmers, silver flakes, silver holo galaxy glitter and 4 different shades of color shifting crystal chameleon flakes.

This dark holo is amazing and almost appears to be a deep charcoal rather than a pure black which I am loving. It applied perfectly and I love that it has a cool toned feel to it.

I loved this one so much and I wish photos showed it better. Its one of those polishes that looks like a lovely metal that also have a lovely amount go holo in it as well and its just perfection!

A dark purple that can look brown or black depending on the light - with small color shifting flakes in a variety of colors (red to orange, teal to blue, purple to magenta).

This is such a nice dark polish. It could easily be mistaken as black but its more of an eggplant purple that applies really quick and nice!

A deep, dramatic oxblood red cream with crushed gold flake.

Inspiration :  Inspired by the myth of Cupid and Psyche, an ancient love story

This polish was amazing. From the flawless formula and application to the flakies sitting in the polish so nicely I was just so pleased. All of the photos show the polish very well too, those flakies were just so impressive to me.

A blue base with turquoise shimmer, gold glitters and gold/bronze flakies.

This polish has such a vibrant blue tone and I love it, also you can easily see how well it pops in the light. Also the flakies scatter themselves so well and evenly and create nice little pops of contrasting colors all over.

This is such a nice great crelly and a neat mix with the cobalt blue flakies mixed in. It just makes a super neat and unique combo perfect for this time of year.

Pampered Polishes

Gyrados

A deep teal jelly holo base with iridescent, lavender, and navy flakies; green shimmer; purple to aurora shimmer; and ultrachrome chameleon flakies.

Was so excited to put this polish since its such a neat shade of teal and it was so fun to wear. The nice teal jelly really built up well in 2-3 coats and the way the glitters looked layered in it just came out really well!

Peachtree Polish

A sky blue base with pink/gold/blue/purple UCC flakes.

Love a nice creamy polish that has flakies any time and this one was great. The polish applied very nicely and evenly and looked great on, also the flakies distributed themselves nicely!

Pepper Pot Polish

I am the Goddess of Beer

2 Coats

A murky yellow-y olive with mauve/orange shift, rainbow micro flakes and small holo glitter.

Inspiration : Ninkasi(Goddess of beer)

First off this is such an interesting color, I'm kinda considering it a dijon mustard with a pink shimmer! The shimmers in this polish is so prominent and makes it so unique and interesting. I personally think that makes the polish. It also had a great formula.

Polished for Days

Sea Dragon

A bright blue base with orange to green shifting iridescent micro flakes and holographic flakes.

Ok this is probably one of my favorites in todays post. Its so packed with iridescent flakies and literally looks like dragon scales, or mermaid scales and in that blue base its just magical. So many colors are picked up too and its just fabulous.

An intense holographic base with with tons of silver and gold holographic glitters and micro flakies, bronze to green aurora pigment and mix of 6 UCC flakies.

This is such a neat shade, kinda silver but not quite, with the shimmery warm glow it almost makes it like a tarnished silver and it works so well. The flakies, the holo its all so evenly balanced and lovely.

A dusty rose/blue/black tri thermal with fine copper shimmer, pink/green aurora shimmer, holo flakies, pink to green ucc flakies, and green to purple ucc flakies.

First off I want to note that this polish is a trithermal. While I did not get photos of it because I didn't know before with swatching and then the holiday season was in full swing. That all being said even without the thermal change this polish is so fun and lovely on. The formula was perfect and as you can see the flakies and the glitters, oh and the touch of holo really just make this charcoal grey fabulous.

Quixotic Polish

A sparkling dove grey crelly with a mix of orange-green shifting iridescent flakies in vary sizes, holo micro flakes and holo micro glitters.

This polish really has a glowyness to it with the larger flakies that tend to catch a golden/orange tone. Its really a lovely polish and the flakies work well in it and lay nicely for such large ones.

Rogue Lacquer

A sparkling dove grey crelly with a mix of orange-green shifting iridescent flakies in vary sizes, holo micro flakes and holo micro glitters.

Inspiration : Inspired by persephone and the two contrasting worlds she knows, goddess of the underworld and vegetation, springtime and fire.

This polish is so neat, and colorful. First you think of a mossy green and then the light hits it and you get a warm orange shimmer and flaky along with a hint of gold, and even a bright grass green. Its really a neat combo that looks so nice on. The formula was excellent.

A white crelly base with white diamond micro glitter, gun metal microflakies and blue to purple shifting shimmer.

Love the clean slate feel of this polish. Its light and speckled perfect for January and wintery months in general. The formula was nice, took about 2-3 coats depending on how thick or thing you do your coats. The soft teal shimmer in this polish is really a nice touch too.

Savannah Lacquer

Dark green jelly with orange/yellow/purple magnetic multichrome. UCC flakies and taupe/red/copper micro flakies.

This polish is a lovely deep teal shimmer in a black jelly like base. The shimmer and the flakies that throw in pops of pink really just make the polish so fun and unique!

A holographic nude pink packed with pink shimmer and orange-pink-gold colour shifting flakes.

This is such a nice soft blush pink with a lovely holographic shimmer seen when in direct light like the sun or flashlight. The formula was great and super easy to work with.

Serum No. 5

Jade's Golden Script

2 Coats

A pistachio creme with iridescent and gold shimmer that glows green in the dark.

Inspiration : Jade Emperor

This green really is a great pistachio green and looks lovely on with a nice shimmer but not only that, but it also glows in the dark, and glows really well might I add as you can see above. This will be super fun polish to wear.

A medium toned nude base with copper and red shimmer, copper, pink and violet sparks, pink iridescent shifting Flakies and grey iridescent Flakies.

This is a super neutral polish that has the nicely almost pink shimmer in it with a few little flakies here and there and really is looks nice on. It also had a nice formula to go with.

Starlight Polish

A true red with red and gold shimmer, microflakes, and micro glitter, and holographic pigment, microflakes, and micro glitter.

This is such a nice real red with a really lovely holographic simmer as well as more sparkles. The formula was perfect and it applied flawlessly.

A black base with pink to blue shifting shimmer and copper to pink to green ucc flakes.

Inspiration : Ratatösk the messenger squirrel that runs up and down Yggdrasil in Norse Mythology

This is a lovely deep dark jelly with a lot of flakies pop through the colors that stand out flakies wise would be orange and a magenta. Then of course there is also a lot of shimmer peeping though.

This polish is so fun I love the milky look with the glitters and flakies. They build up and give so much depth to the polish and actually give a neat marble/stone like counter top look and I am loving it!

Stella Chroma's - Emulsified Sugar Scrub

 I absolutely love the Stella Chroma Sugar scrubs, they have such a nice feel on and while using. This one is just that, and the scent is really nice. I was a bit hesitant because sage is not my thing but I was pleasantly surprised and it wasn't to much at all, the perfect amount and it just balances out to a lovely scent. Kind of earthy with a touch of sweetness. The type of scent I could image being a great spring time candle or a kitchen soap if that makes sense. :)

This is such a neat color for the inspiration I think! It just fits for some reason. A grey green with a neat intriguing shimmer and some flakies thrown in. It also has a nice formula that was easy to work with.

Sweet Heart Polish

A cool gray crelly with green to yellow to orange UCC flakies with charcoal and pewter micro flakes.

This polish had a really nice formula. Now yes it takes 2-3 coats but it was easy and worth it because those coats build up and add more depth to the polish and it just looks really neat.

The Lady Varnishes

She Lavas Me, She Lavas Me Not

2-3 Coats

A Dark blue (almost black) base with red to green UCC flakes, aurora shimmer, and a mix of iridescent and holographic glitters.

Inspiration : Pele

This polish has a very dominant shifty flakie in it art takes over the polish and gives it a lot of color for a dark jelly based polish. Because this is a darker jelly it may take 2-3 coats of polish depending on your thickness.

A medium blue ultraholo base, with magenta to orange shift and magenta flakes.

This is such a pretty steel blue with a lovely purple shimmery sheen and then of course the holographic shimmer and the flakies. It all just works together so well, and gives such a pretty look on the nail. The formula was great as well.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes

A dark blurple jelly base with holo micro glitter and purple to blue chameleon flakies as well as fantasy flakies.

This is blurple perfection. Its such a rich shade and it has the nicest shimmer and flakie combo that just goes with the base color so well. The polish applied perfectly, and just looks lovely on the nail.

Vibrant Vinyls

'Stupid Cupid' Scented Fast & Hard Quick Dry Glossy Top Coat

So for this top coat I just decided to show it as a topper for a French mani since that really allows you to see how shiny it makes my nails, and I have to say I was most impressed! Plus I have been using in on art for the last 2 weeks and really love it. The scent is sweet and I actually really like it. At first I wasn't sure but the more I wore it the more I like it. It lasts too, like you will still smell it after a few days of year. Also I do feel like it dried pretty quickly. I am not super patient when it comes to things drying, and not once did I mess this one up so I would say that means it quick! LOL

Wildflower Lacquer

A dark maroon jelly base with a subtle blue to green shift with green/blue/gold crystal flakies, UCC flakies that shift from copper to green and red to gold.

Inspiration : Medusa

This one builds up in 2-3 coats depending on how thick/thin you do your coats, and it builds up to a lovely marsala shade with sparkly details with every color in the rainbow. The polish applied really nicely and looks nice on I think!
