Step by Step : How to Draw or Paint Christmas Holly

 

Hello and welcome back! Hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday! Today I am actually guest posting over on the Heroine NYC blog which I am super excited about! So if you want to see step by step photos of how I did this mani be sure to head over here to see it!

Over here though I thought I would go into more detail of how you paint and or draw holly, because I don't know about you but I feel like the leaves can be a bit tricky! So I thought I would share my step by step process.

Step 1 : Make 3 circle! I like to do 2 on top and then one centered below the first 2!

Step 2 : Fill in your circles to make your berries!

Step 3 : Lets start the leaves! I like to star with two unfinished upside down triangles.

Step 4 : Continue your leaf with parentheses as shown above!

Step 5 : Connect the sides together with the top of a triangle.

Step 6 : Fill in your leaf!

Step 7 : Add some sing lines to your berries by adding a lil white top or line on one side of the berries as shown above! At this point you can be done! However I have more steps if you want to make it a bit more detailed!

Optional Step 8 : Add in a line in the middle of your leaves.

Optional Step 9 : Add in a few lines coming from the line you did in Step 8 as shown here!

Now put it all together, and you have created a cute little festive Holly! See, pretty simple when you get the steps down! Hope you have found this helpful in some shape way or form! :) Remember this applies to doodles or painting! :) Have fun with it.
