Welcome back! Today I thought it would be a good idea to share how to use GIFS in yours Instagram stories since I am having so much fun making them it only makes sense to share with you how to use them, now there are two ways to do this and both are pretty simple!
Ultimately the best way to do this is to stay all within the Instagram app! So open that up and get your story ready to go! Then tap the lil square with the face, you can see all of this at a glance below! Then tap the GIF section. The location changes and is different at various times, but it should look like the spot I have circled! Then it will open to trending GIFs but you can search for whatever you are looking for! I just searched mine for the sake of this tutorial! ☺️ After that select your desired GIF and place it on your story where ever you want and you are good to go!
Now the other way of finding a gif to use on your story would be by using the GIPHY app! Have your story ready to go and follow these next steps. Sometimes on the built in GIF section on Instagram you can't find the artist you are looking for, or you can't find exactly what you had in mind. So open the GIPHY app and search! Here you will have more options, you can look at GIFs, Stickers, and Text! Whereas on Instagram you only really see Stickers and Text. So at this point you can just search what every you want! Once you find what you are after, tap the image to copy it. Then open Instagram up, and then stories should prompt you to add sticker. However if it does not, go to add text, and tap the place you are to type in and select paste! It should then paste the sticker/gif!
Overall both of these are super easy to do and are super fun to add a lil extra something to your Instagram story!
