OPI Starlight Holiday Line 2015 Swatches & Review: Press * For Silver

Press Sample

Hey ya'll!! So today's art is pretty fun and so is today's swatch so let's get to it! :) Today's swatch is of Press * For Silver.

First off I will just say I really don't get the name. I personally don't see silver at all in this polish. From looking at it in the bottle I was slightly expecting a bit of pink but on I feel like it's a bronze-y color.

The formula on this polish seemed a bit more watery than the other I have been working with in this Starlight collection. The first coat was very streaky and you definitely need to be careful when it comes to brush strokes with this polish. The 2nd coat did help a bit in the stroke-yness. So I would qualify this as a 2 coater for sure.

Once I put top coat on it did help in my opinion. I still wasn't loving it though. It's just different. So instead of making a snap judgement I waited for a few hours after I had put it on to write this review. Which turned out being a very good idea. Because the more I wear it and look at it. The more I am liking it. It is different but it's fun. I don't stamp but if I could I feel like this would make a fun base! :)

So what are you guys thinking about this polish based off the photos above? Now I do have some art and tutorial for y'all! I did these yesterday, and after the wonderful winning of the Jaguars I decided this color would be great for Jacksonville Jaguar colored mani so....

I did did a fun Dotticure! For the dots I used OPI Fly from an older line and then the black is from the Starlight Line and you guys saw it on Saturday. It is Center of The You-niverse. Check out the tutorial for these below!

Hope you all enjoyed this post. Let me know what y'all thought below and make sure you head over to my YouTube Channel and check out the tutorials, and request what you would like to see next!

Happy Painting!

  1. I think this is such a pretty polish but polishes that get brush strokes can scare me abit! A very beautiful and antique looking shade! :) I also like the nail art you added to it xx

    1. Yes, I agree totally! I am hesitant to pull out a polish that I know I have to worry about brush strokes on! Its a bit daunting! :) I didn't care for it the night I did it but the next morning I woke up and liked it alot more. Its a neat color for sure! Thank you so much! <3 Hope you are having a wonderful day! :)
