Moon Shine Mani

Hey there! Welcome back to 25 Sweetpeas and I am most excited about todays post so lets get right to things! Moon Shine Mani has a few different things releasing today and I have all of the details, swatch photos, video, macros, and art!

First up we have a polish that is the final polish in the formula of Wake Me Up trio. That is a trio of neons that came out earlier to celebrate Avicii after he passed away which was a neat way of celebrating his talent.  This polish is available today at 6am PST
Moon Shine Mani Save the Best For Last

Save the Best for Last
2-3 coat(s)

A neon purple crelly that does pull a hint of magenta. It also has chameleon flakies that pull green, gold, orange, and even some purple.

Moon Shine Mani Save the Best For Last

The formula for this one was very nice and easy to work with. It is a crelly that will take 2-3 coats depending on how thick or thin you apply each coat. That being said each coat goes on so nice and evenly.

Moon Shine Mani Save the Best For Last

Here the flakies show really nicely in the photo I think and it really just builds up to having a neat amount of flakies at all different levels.

Moon Shine Mani Save the Best For Last

This was/is the first MSM polish I have used and I really liked it. Also I was pleasantly surprised to find out they have the wide brushes I always love on a polish! :)

Moon Shine Mani Hocus Pocus Duo

Next up we have the Hocus Pocus Duo! These come out today as well at 6am PST, however in order to get them you have to be in the Moon Shine Mani Fans Facebook Group because these are exclusives to that group. :) The members of the group actually got to help pick out the different inspiration photos and be a part of the creation of this duo so be sure to join HERE so you can be a part of that. The polishes will be sold as a set for $20 and then individually for $11 each.

Moon Shine Mani I Am Calm!

I Am Calm!
2-3 coat(s)

A vibrant red jelly with orange/gold/green chameleon flakies, gold micro flakies, red/copper/gold/green multichrome flakies, iridescent orange glitter, copper holo, and orange metallic micro glitter

Moon Shine Mani I Am Calm!

This is such a perfect red jelly. Its perfectly pigmented and applies so nice and even and all of the sparkly goodness shows through just enough and also builds to give it a really neat level of depth on the nail. The more you build the more variations of glitter/shimmer you get too since it is one of those jelly like formulas.

Moon Shine Mani I Am Calm!

I feel like it also shows really true to color and intensity on camera which is so exciting since it is one of those colors that could not behave well but it worked really accurately.

Moon Shine Mani I Am Calm!

Here a lot of those different glitters, flakies, and shimmers show through well which is just exciting. Plus this one was inspired my Winifreds Hair from Hocus Pocus and I totally get that from this one!

Moon Shine Mani And Now You're Mine

And Now You're Mine
2-3 coat(s)

A purple jelly with pink/gold/blue micro flakies, iridescent glitters in pink, blue, purple, and orange, green/purple/pink chameleon flakies, and purple glitters

Moon Shine Mani And Now You're Mine

All of these polishes were very similar formula wise. They all applied ever evenly and got better with each coat. As I mentioned earlier it really is all in how thick or thin you do coats and You will get to see that in todays video because I show both ways of how I did that.

Moon Shine Mani And Now You're Mine

This one has some really neat glitters in it as you can see and I think it all worked so well and it turned into a really neat polish. This one was inspired by the overall theme of the Hocus Pocus Movie and Halloween which is quite fitting I think when look at the polish. Its like a happy fun version of Halloween which is the only side I like. ;)

Moon Shine Mani And Now You're Mine

This macro really shows a little bit of everything off I believe and isn't it so pretty?! That blue/magenta hidden shimmer, then the micro glitters then the bigger ones. It just works so well, and I was impressed with how they evenly dispersed themselves. There was no fishing in the polish bottle or anything. It really was just an easy process.

Now here you can see the video. Its helpful if you are wanting to see the brush I love, and the difference a thick vs thin coat. Now before we move on I do want to warn you there is some premature Halloween nails below! it only seemed fitting with the theme of the duo, plus I had an idea so I had to do it because Halloween art is usually hard for me. LOL!

Hocus Pocus Nail Art

So I did a witch hat and some fun doodle like stars that complimented the polish I think! Also you might be thinking that the hat and the stars look similar. Maybe like the same style of the ones in the Hocus Pocus Duo graphic I featured earlier, and there is a fun reason for that. So I painted these nails one night this week and the next morning I decided to do the same art on paper. I tried it and actually posted some of that on my Instastories.

Hocus Pocus Nail Art

The paper version came out pretty decently so I then digitalized it and turned it into my own clip art so I could use it in the graphics I made for this post, and I'm so happy that it worked! I think this might become a thing, so if you start seeing more art that looks like it might be hand drawn/painted on anything I do, there is a very good chance that its my own homemade clip art!

Hocus Pocus Nail Art

So what do you think of the art? Does it fit with the movie and the whole vibe of the collection? Hopefully you like it!

All of these polishes will be releasing today at 6AM PST so be sure to head over to the shop HERE and check everything out, and join the FB Group HERE to get access to the Hocus Pocus Duo. If you have any questions let me know and I will get back to you. What was your favorite polish in todays post? I am really torn, I like them all!

Happy Painting!

  11. So I don't know where to start with all that I love about this. The nail art is amazing and totally captures the vibes of Hocus Pocus. The two Hocus Pocus shades are LIFE and totally capture the vibe of the movie as well. As for the Save the Best for Last polish, the fact that Moon Shine Mani did a tribute polish would have me buying from them even if I didn't love anything else about the brand lol.
