Sweetpeas Picks Vol. 9

Sweetpeas Picks

Hey there, happy Sunday, its time for a new Sweetpeas Picks post! I tell ya, the more of these I do the more I love them! Its just fun and so unrestricted! Also can we talk about how good this ice cream looks?! Eppp, it was soooo good too!

1. Mayday Ice Cream is so good! Finally got to try it last night after my birthday "out to eat dinner" and WOW. So rich and yummy. I tried a few and settled on Queen Salted Caramel which is so buttery and salty it was delicious. Then I also has Blueberry Toast Crunch I believe was the name, and wow, it tasted like my moms Blueberry Coffee Cake. The ice cream had fresh blueberries and cinnamon toast crunch in it which was just perfect. They have so many other flavors I totally want to try now too!

2. Mentioning of my Mom, for our Birthdays each year we get to pick an out to eat meal, and a homemade meal and I am so excited! Last night was the out to eat one which was delicious, and beautiful! Anyhooo back to what I was saying, tonight for my actual Birthday my mom is making this new nacho idea we've been coming up with this week, and I'm so excited. Think southern, think shrimp, and I won't spoil the rest! Also I'm totally working on my mom to start up a blog. The recipes would be SO good! (Mom, this is where I could share a link to your recipes ;) )

Cupcake Polish Radioactive Collection

3. So Friday I think it was, I released a new blog post for the new Cupcake Polish Radioactive collection that comes out tomorrow and you can see here. After the post went live I actually kept playing with the polishes and I ended up having a lot of fun. I got to play around with a new set up and get some pretty color accurate swoosh pictures. I then used those to create the picture you are seeing above! I now want to do this with every polish! LOL, what do you think? Should this be a thing? I could even make phone wallpapers lol!

4. Ok I just really enjoy reading Corries posts AKA the Dizzybrunette. Like I really enjoyed this one about posing for photos and I hate being in pictures but really it was fun. Her use of Gifs and the references in it were just fun. The part about the really cute dog/cat/Zac Efron or the Pizza Delivery vehicle gave me a good little giggle!

5. Just a heads up if you also love the Deco Jules blog, she is working on something new you can follow along with on this Instagram! I believe its going to introduce more blogging and beauty related things! Her photos are always gorgeous so of course I'm excited about this!

6. So I started to read this post about how to get bright white backgrounds in photos just because I was curious as to how others did it. I feel like for the LONGEST time I was always trying to figure it out, eh what am I saying, I am still always trying to better things. Anywhooo I was so excited when I got to the end because the app suggested was the one I already love, and use ALL the time!

7.  Did you see Polish Those Nails blog post that was inspired by her latest tattoo? I love the gradation and the detail of the flower on the nail is just perfect! Looks so classy. Check it out here.

8. Ya know when you start watching or listening to music on Youtube and then next thing you know its hours later on and you've found like a good four or 5 songs that aren't on iTunes and there is no way to get them? Well that happened this week and now I wish there was a way! LOL, actually one was on iTunes so that is all good but still. So currently I am listening to Bad Enough For You by All Time Love, Bottle and a Beat by All Time Low, If You Don't Know by 5SOS, and more that I won't bore you with! But its a real issue this week, LOL!

9. So I kinda overhauled my old planning Instagram and am now using it for my "mixed media" art, watercolors, and bullet journal! Also I started to film a bullet journal spready video and then part of the way through I realized I royally messed it up so I deleted that footage, but the good news it that, I have a new light and can do that type of thing now! Do you want me to film videos like that. They would be targeted towards beauty, nails, and or blogging. Most likely planning blogging things! :) Also this might lead out to a new venture I am toying with the idea of!

Well guys I think we are going to wrap it up for the day! I hope you have enjoyed Sweetpeas Picks post! Also just so you know I am always looking for new blogs to read and catch up with, also I've really been enjoying InstaStories lately. So that all being said if you have blogs or Instgramers you think I should check out let me know! I hope you all have a FABULOUS week and I will catch up with you soon!

  16. Well you just made me fall down the rabbit hole of looking at other blogs instead of sleeping! But I really do love the wrap up and really needed the blog on how to white balance. It's been years since I took a proper photography class in college so the refresher was needed!

  17. The ice cream looks amazingly good...especially since I just found out I'm allergic to dairy...not just lactose but full blown dairy and I don't know why but everything I can't have looks even more delicious then it did when I could have it. I checked out the link for the white background because mine sometimes goes a little...not white so I wanted to see what the suggestion was and I don't know why I forgot the trick of putting something dark behind a white product when photographing on a white background but I did so thanks for sharing that!
